Super sweet mini shar pei purchased from bradenton petland. He is potty trained will wait until he is walked to use the bathroom. He is good with kids not sure about other pets as he is our only pet. Had 3 kids in the matter of 4 years and they are severely allergic thats the only reason why we are looking to rehome.

Our special needs senior, Missy, is looking for her forever home. Missy is a 100% sweetheart despite being blind (from built up scar tissue). Missy is currently in a foster home and her foster mom tells us she is the perfect dog if you're looking for a calm senior who is happy to chill most of the day. She does have eye medication which she gets twice a day. Her skin was in need of some help when Missy came to us but with weekly medicated baths, it has improved tremendously and continues to improve. Now she only needs them once or twice a month. Missy is currently in a home with another dog and, although she doesn't play, she's happy to hang out with her canine friend. Taking walks is not big on her list of things to do, but she will wait at the door when she needs to go potty and is happy to cruise around the fenced yard. Some of our most heartfelt moments here at Satchel's is watching our animals come out of their shells to reveal their wonderful and different personalities. One of our most notable pups would be Miss Sicily. When she first arrived, Sicily kept her guard up, she was nervous and untrusting. She would let a select few staff members engage with her, but did not show affection and was more relieved when the interaction was over. Fast forward a few weeks, and we could see a small spark starting to show through, she was more willing to take treats from us and was more curious about going outside. She then found a lovely Woof Pack leader, Peg, who was willing to work with her on socializing and getting her to open up more. Soon she started jumping up on us when we went to clean her kennel, started giving us kisses and loved being rubbed all over. She started showing her silly side, playing with toys and goofing around. She was still nervous outside the kennel, and she still has moments when she is unsure about the environment, but her confidence has significantly grown since the day she first arrived. Sicily can still be a bit weary of men and tends to gravitate towards females, but we are so proud of the steps she has conquered and continues to, even today. She has shown us that the shyest of pups have a love for play and affection and sometimes it just takes patience and understanding to let their light shine through. Today, Sicily loves to go out with Peg in our back yard and run around, getting all her zoomies out and acting like a goofball. She loves to give hugs and kisses, getting belly rubs when she rolls over and just generally loves attention. When he arrived, he was severely underweight and in poor condition, having gone far too long without the care every dog deserves. Although she is still very shy and fearful of everything and everyone, she has been making progress with the help of her dedicated foster mom. In foster care, Sarah has been enjoying meeting other pups in the neighborhood. Although she isn't much of a barker, she will let you know if trouble is brewing. Sarah has nice manners, enjoys her little safe spaces throughout the house, and shows no aggression whatsoever. Charlie was adopted out as a puppy from us in January. He is being rehomed due to his large size and the fact that they have a weight limit. At the time of adoption, no one could have guessed he was going to be a large boy!!! We are posting him on our site, so folks can see what a good boy he is. His current family loves him, but they are keeping in standard with their HOA. Here is what they have to say about him: He’s a very sweet, very, very affectionate and playful dog. He loves playing fetch inside or outside, playing tug war with a towel or a chew toy, loves his morning and early evening walks and playing outside. He also loves playing with other dogs, he gets so excited that he doesn’t want to stop playing. He’s completely housebroken, pees and poops only outside with no accidents. He is crate trained, Goes in his crate by himself when directed.😍 He sleeps in his crate at night and does well with car rides. We’ve also worked with a great trainer, Charlie stayed in his dog school for a total of five weeks in two different instances. He obeys many commands: place, sit, down, stay, paw.😍 He still has a little difficulty with the commands “here” and “no”, but he’s getting there. He’s great with kids and he is all up to date on his vaccinations and preventive medication‘s like heartworm, and fleas and ticks (he takes Sentinel Spectrum once a month). He hasn’t been neutered yet, but we are working on that.I would say he has a standard level of energy, he loves his daily walk, but he sleeps a lot on our couch during the entire morning annd afternoon. Charlie is around 40-50 pds he is a year old so should not get any bigger. Hes a gentle soul, and is in need of a new forever family.. We are taking applications for him, currently in the Tampa area.
