While he’s still a bit nervous around new people and situations, Dirk is getting braver every day. With a little time and TLC, this silly boy is sure to blossom into the confident companion he’s meant to be.Dirk adores other dogs and comes alive when he’s playing with his furry friends or chasing after toys. Cats? Well, they’re a little spooky right now—but we think with some guidance, he’ll come to see them as the small, curious friends they are.Once Dirk feels safe, he’s the ultimate snuggle buddy—loyal, loving, and ready to curl up beside you for a nap or quiet evening at home. He’s a special pup with a heart of gold, just waiting for his chance to shine.Dirk is part of our Sit, Stay, Adopt program, which focuses on dogs who need a bit of extra love and support as they adjust to the world. Story
Meet Winnie, a 55 pound Shar Pei/Pit mix. Winnie is a homebody who loves to snuggle up on the couch with her people. We joke that she didn’t get the personal space gene when they were giving it out. Winnie has a sweet temperament, loves a good belly rub and a warm bask in the sun. She also loves her toys! You can catch her nibbling them endlessly, but don’t be fooled by her love of the soft ones; she loves gnawing on hard Nylabones as well.   Winnie will do best in a home with a fenced in yard where she is the only dog. She has never been introduced to cats or very small children, so we don’t know her reaction to them. “Win” will be a great win for the right family! Story
Bruce is an American Bully/Shar Pei. He is one of the sweetest and happiest dogs I have ever met! We would love nothing more than to keep him, but he needs to be in a home where he is the only pet. We have 3 teenagers that have their friends over constantly. Bruce is very social and loves everyone. He likes to cuddle and play with toys. We want to find him a good home where he will be indoors and spoiled. He is very strong, but he is a gentle giant. He is the type to lay by your side from room to room. As long as he is near you, he is happy. He can run around and play like a puppy or sleep all day. His mood reflects yours.

Story
We picked our Bama up in Alabama in October 2019 while traveling home from Destin. We stopped to get gas in Empire, Alabama and he was at the gas station, abandoned and alone. We fell in love with him instantly, and decided we would take him with us on the rest of our six hour journey home. Bama is a wonderful boy, so very sweet. I have recently gone through a divorce. Through this transition, I am not able to care for him properly, nor afford the expenses. As much as I do not want to, I need to rehome our sweet boy. His shots are not up to date. He is potty trained. Very well behaved, and just an overall wonderful dog. I am not looking for money, I just want him to be loved and cared for. Please.
