We did a DNA test on her and it came back as all Shar Pei. We didn't expect that! She looks Shar Pei when you meet her. You will see the face, ears, shape of head of a Shar Pei. Not the size of a Shat Pei since she is only 25 pds. Ramona is a Shar pei with the cute small ears, chubby face, always smiling face. She doesn't have the traits of her breed. She is outgoing with people and everyone she meets is her new best friend. She loves playing with her doggy playmates. Her antics are of a puppy. Play, play, play! Ramona also loves the kiddie swimming pool. If you would allow her, she would be sitting in or running thru it every chance she got. The girl loves water. Her favorite toys have been the hard Nylabones, all rubber types, rope tugs and balls. Foster Parents' notes: Ramona is a spunky girl who loves to play with toys and wrestling her foster brother. She also loves to cuddle and snuggle with her foster parents. She is a little shy at first, but once she warms up to you (treats help) she will be your best friend and shadow. She has had a couple of accidents in the house, but she is basically house trained. Ramona does pretty well going into her crate. Placing a treat in it will help her go in easier. I have been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped. Dutch, our friend at City of Raytown Animal Services, is all that and a bag of chips. He's a 7-year-old bull terrier/Shar Pei mix. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. He is a stunning boy, and he's one of those dogs you meet once and never forget. He's silly, affectionate, and an all-around fantastic dog. Story

As I write this story, it breaks my heart. Barrett has been with me through some of the most difficult years of my life and always right by my side. He also survived being kicked across the room the night that a gun was put to my head by my soon to be ex husband. He continues to be a calm, gentle and loving dog that is loyal to the end. He would make a great family dog or a support dog for someone who needs a loyal buddy to confide in. He gets along very well with other animals and our two cats. We recently had 4 Alaskan Malamutes living with us for 3 months and he allowed it without complaint. He is house trained and whines if he feels like he needs to go to avoid making a mess indoors. He is also crate trained but that has not been necessary for the last few years because he is great indoors. He is not high energy, but every now and then he gets a burst. lol! He has no health concerns and is very healthy for an older English Bulldog and goes up and down stairs without issue.
