Story
Sasha is a gorgeous 5-year-old Shar-Pei mix with an energetic personality. She loves to run around outside in the yard and can be very friendly when she warms up to someone. It takes her time to trust a human companion and she can be very particular about where she is touched. In her first home, Sasha did well with older children, and would be compatible in a home with kids 12 and up. She tends to be protective about her space and is not friendly with all the dogs Four Footed Friends has seen her interact with. With the proper time and patience Sasha would make a dog owner very lucky and happy. She also knows basic commands like sit, stay, and come. If you think you can provide Sasha with a forever home, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or fourfootedfriends82@gmail.com. You can also visit https://www.fourfootedfriends.org/ for more information on our organization and other pets we have available for adoption. As always, you are welcome to come into our shelter for a visit with any of our dogs to see if they might be the right fit! Story
Ranni is 3 years old. She tested well with other dogs and cats. She is slow to warm up to new people so children visits will be on a case by case basis. She eventually makes new friends but it isn't immediate. She also does not care to be contained all of the time so being in the shelter is not a fun time for her. Otherwise she loves being outside enjoying the sunshine!PA Kennel License #1333

Story
Tank & Chrissy are gorgeous, gentle and very sweet purebred shar peis who were given up to the rescue after their owner in rural Mississippi passed away. They are just wonderful dogs, friendly and loving and very bonded. We would love for them to be adopted together. Tank and Chrissy are not siblings, their owner purchased them from a breeder with the intent to breed and then sell puppies. Chrissy had one litter and then her owner passed away. Wag spayed and neutered Tank and Chrissy once they came to the rescue, Wags also paid for necessary eye surgery for both dogs and they have recovered well. Unfortunately, they are both heartworm positive, but have a mild cases and are being treated. They will be two years old this summer. We have decided to list them now to see if we can find a potential adopter who is willing to adopt them together and either wait for them to finish their heartworm treatment or even adopt them and continue the treatment on their own. They really are extremely easy and just the nicest dogs and deserve a loving home of their own.   At the rescue Tank and Chrissy live with other dogs and are friendly to kids and are well socialized. They love to play together, adore toys and bones and are both major snuggle bugs. We have not listed an adoption fee for Tank and Chrissy—their vet bills have been into the thousands between the eye surgery, spay, neuter, and heartworm treatment, and we are not expecting that to be reimbursed but would like to discuss the fee with any potential adopters. Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3  where one woman cares for 150 dogs in a small town in Mississippi.   For more information on Tank & Chrissy please email mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com     April 30, 2024, 10:56 am

Story
Luna is a funny and adorable 3-year-old boxer mix that is waiting for the right, patient owner to give her a caring new home. Unfortunately, when she was younger, Luna was attacked by other dogs, and as a result is not friendly towards them now. However, she is sweeter than ever with most people and would make a good companion for an adult household with no children or other animals. She loves to snuggle up under a blanket and can often be seen at Four Footed Friends with a blanket over her head. She has a lot of fun outside in our yard, playing fetch with a ball, and running around on her strong legs. If allowed to, she would play fetch 24 hours, 7 days a week, she loves it that much! She knows some basic commands such as “sit, come, down, shake, leave it.” However, she is not well house-trained and could definitely benefit from someone willing to be patient and teach her the basic manners of living indoors. She loves mealtime and is very food motivated. Do you think you can provide Luna with a forever home? If so, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or dogmanager@fourfootedfriends.org.
