Story
Sasha is a gorgeous 5-year-old Shar-Pei mix with an energetic personality. She loves to run around outside in the yard and can be very friendly when she warms up to someone. It takes her time to trust a human companion and she can be very particular about where she is touched. In her first home, Sasha did well with older children, and would be compatible in a home with kids 12 and up. She tends to be protective about her space and is not friendly with all the dogs Four Footed Friends has seen her interact with. With the proper time and patience Sasha would make a dog owner very lucky and happy. She also knows basic commands like sit, stay, and come. Story
Luna is a funny and adorable 3-year-old boxer mix that is waiting for the right, patient owner to give her a caring new home. Unfortunately, when she was younger, Luna was attacked by other dogs, and as a result is not friendly towards them now. However, she is sweeter than ever with most people and would make a good companion for an adult household with no children or other animals. She loves to snuggle up under a blanket and can often be seen at Four Footed Friends with a blanket over her head. She has a lot of fun outside in our yard, playing fetch with a ball, and running around on her strong legs. If allowed to, she would play fetch 24 hours, 7 days a week, she loves it that much! She knows some basic commands such as “sit, come, down, shake, leave it.” However, she is not well house-trained and could definitely benefit from someone willing to be patient and teach her the basic manners of living indoors. Gonzo is a stunning, exuberant, lively young boxer mix who is ready for a new family to call his own. Unfortunately, he is in this position due to an unforeseen health issue with his previous owner. Gonzo is extremely friendly, loving, sweet, and extroverted. He thrives around people and loves to spend quality time with his human companions. As a 1-year-old dog, he is very energetic and excitable, and has high enthusiasm when he receives attention from people or other dogs. He is still learning how to control his body and reign in his excitement and would benefit from some training as well as lots of exercise! He loves being outside, playing outside, and getting multiple walks a day. In addition, Gonzo is quite strong and still needs quite a bit of leash walk training. However, he is coachable, very attentive, and listens well. He already knows several basic commands and is very responsive to vocal cues. Gonzo loves everyone, including other dogs and is compatible with kids as well. He also previously coexisted very successfully with an adult who had special needs. Gonzo is a ball of life, joy, and excitement and he is ready to bring a lot of fun to a new lucky family. Do you think you can provide Gonzo with a forever home? Meet Wellington! Wellington was brought to ICHS at no fault of his own. He is a very friendly boy! Wellington seems to enjoy making friends with humans and has already befriended our entire staff! When Wellington isn't making friends he loves to explore, run around the play yard, and work on his skills. He will sit nicely for a treat! Wellington's favorite toys are stuffed animals. Regarding other animals this handsome man seems to be dog-selective, but overall friendly to most other dogs!
