Story
Luna is a funny and adorable 3-year-old boxer mix that is waiting for the right, patient owner to give her a caring new home. Unfortunately, when she was younger, Luna was attacked by other dogs, and as a result is not friendly towards them now. However, she is sweeter than ever with most people and would make a good companion for an adult household with no children or other animals. She loves to snuggle up under a blanket and can often be seen at Four Footed Friends with a blanket over her head. She has a lot of fun outside in our yard, playing fetch with a ball, and running around on her strong legs. If allowed to, she would play fetch 24 hours, 7 days a week, she loves it that much! She knows some basic commands such as “sit, come, down, shake, leave it.” However, she is not well house-trained and could definitely benefit from someone willing to be patient and teach her the basic manners of living indoors. She loves mealtime and is very food motivated. Do you think you can provide Luna with a forever home? If so, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or dogmanager@fourfootedfriends.org. You can also visit https://www.fourfootedfriends.org/ for more information on our organization and other pets we have available for adoption. You are also welcome to come visit any of our dogs to see if they might be the right fit! Visits are done by appointment only. Story
Hi, I am Emily, and I’m looking for a special person to adopt me, because I am special myself!  Here’s the situation, I’m deaf.  One of the disadvantages of being deaf is that I apparently have a very loud “screech” instead of a bark.  I can’t hear myself so it doesn’t bother me at all, but I’m told that it’s not a pleasant sound for those that can hear.  I will need training and guidance to help me control my vocalizations.  Speaking of training, I come with a free training package at adoption!  You and I can learn things together, such as: hand signals for “QUIET!”, and how to settle down when I get rambunctious, or “Leave it” when I see small critters (I love to chase small animals!). I also need to learn how to properly greet other dogs, because apparently, I come in a little hot, which is off-putting to potential new dog friends.  My good qualities? I have quite a few! I love to cuddle, all 55 lbs of me! You will never be lonely again as long as I’m around! Unless you’re going in the car…something about riding in cars really makes me nervous. Did I mention I’m housebroken?! Yep, I know where to do my business and you won’t have to worry about cleaning up after me in the house.  I also love all humans and dogs! I just want to make friends with everyone! So if you are a patient person, up for the challenge of training a deaf dog, and want a new best friend… I’m your girl.  A tall fence, preferably a privacy fence, is required.  I’m strong and can break tie-outs and jump small fences when I see something that I want to chase (cats/deer) or someone I want to visit (neighbors).I just need my very own human that is patient and willing to take the time to speak a language that I can understand, so I can learn how to be the best dog ever. Apply to adopt me now through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, 15144. Story
Little Miss Moxie is a petite pup at only around 35lbs...she does still need to put on a few more pounds though.  She was on the brink of being euthanized at a local kennel but saved just in the nick of time.  Moxie is only around 1-2yrs old and is a total love bug.  All she wants is to be next to (or on top of) her people.  She's been fine with her foster dog siblings but would still require a meet and greet with any resident dogs.  She gets very excited and can be a little jumpy, but seems to have an overall very calm and more laid back demeanor for being so young.  You can correct her very easily...it's possible she may have been abused wherever she came from because the second you raise your voice at her to correct her she cowers back into her crate :(.  She's also been doing great in her crate and with house-training.  As sweet as this girl is though, she is not a fan of her fellow felines so definitely no cats.  Moxie is soooo ready to finally find her happily ever after! ##2033731##

Story
Hi everyone, I’m Shelby! I’m a beautiful brindle boxer mix with the cutest underbite. My papers say I’m 5 years old, but I’m full of energy and spunk. I’m about 45 pounds and already spayed. I’m crate trained and working hard on house training. I get along with other dogs and love to run and play with them. I’ve also tested well with cats. I think I would love kids but my energy may be a bit much for small kids. I can also be a bit nippy when I’m excited/playing. I would reallllly love a fenced in yard to run in, I’m super duper fast! It should be a tall fence though because I’m very springy and can jump really high. Once I get my zoomies out, I love to cuddle up on the couch with my people. I’m working hard on my manners, like not jumping or counter surfing, but it’s a work in progress. I can’t wait to find an active/energetic family of my own. ##1774486##

Story
Hi my name is Esalda. I am about 12 weeks old. They say I am a boxer/terrier mix. Let me tell you all about myself. I am a gorgeous puppy that came up with my 7 brothers and sisters. I currently live with my sister Marisol. I also have a foster mom, dad, 11 year old sister, 2 furr foster brothers and a furr foster sister. I am working hard on potty training but I just don't have it down yet. I am really good in the crate though. After me and my sister play hard all day, I am pretty tired. My foster dad picks me up and puts me right in. I cuddle up with my sister and fall fast asleep. I don't make any noise until my foster mom wakes up. Then I am super excited, I can't help but make cute noises. She takes me outside right away so I don't have an accident in the house. Thank goodness because holding my pee all night is hard. But I don't want to sleep in my mess so I hold it. I love to just cuddle on my foster moms lap in the morning. I really love to play with everyone. There isn't a dog I have met that I don't want to play with. Don't I sound like the perfect addition to your family? I can't wait to meet you. ##1971872##

Story
This is Humphrey Jr. Dogs like Humphrey Jr. are the reason the shelter is always full and unfortunately sit here waiting for a long time (over 6 months, maybe over a year.) However, we will try to find someone who is willing to put in the work to have a harder to place dog. They all deserve a home! So, Humphrey was a stray. Not claimed by his owner. He's a younger Pitbull mix, about 9 months or so. He is hyper and needs training. He will take a few visits to warm up to you. The staff he knows and trusts, are easily able to handle him. Some even cuddled with him on the floor. He can't live with dogs, cats, or kids. This makes it extremely difficult to find a home due to most people having multiple pets. If you are willing to put in the work and can meet his requirements, fill out an app. If not, please share his post. You might know someone who can!!PA Kennel License #1333

Meet Titan he is a 3 year old neutered male. He is a very sweet boy and we believe he would do well with children. He would need to meet any kids he would be living with. Titan loves to play with toys and would make a great dog for an active family.

Story
Hi there! I'm Sapphire and I'm really happy to meet you! I was brought to the shelter in July of 2021. I came in with a bunch of other Pit Bulls, all of which have been adopted. I don't really understand why I am the only one still here. I am a lot of fun! I really like playing in water, so if you ever wanted a buddy to go swimming with, please take me! When I'm not playing in the pool I like to keep active in other ways, like getting the zoomies and sprinting around or playing with toys. While I am a super sweet girl, I will need an experienced owner to continue to work with me and get that energy under control! Because of this I would not do well in a house with children, as I can get very rambunctious. I am also dog selective, but not necessarily opposed to a furry friend! However, I cannot go to a home with cats! So, if you have the space for my energy and the patience to help me channel it into other activities I'd love to meet you! I am a super sweet girl.Activity level: highWeight: 60 lbs Primary Color: Blue Secondary Color: White Age: 6yrs 0mths 0wks

Story
Camo is a sweet, gentle 11-year-old pitbull terrier mix who is looking for a good home to live out his retirement years. Since arriving to Four Footed Friends when his owner was no longer physically able to take care of him, Camo has been an extremely friendly and affectionate dog. He is a quiet guy who is easy to walk outside on a leash. He loves to be around people and gets really excited when new people come to meet him. Our staff and volunteers have seen him really enjoy his bath time and do really well with his nails being clipped. Camo loves to snuggle up on the couch and fits the demeanor and description of a great family dog. There are only a couple things Camo is not a huge fan of and that includes cats and some other dogs. Please consider giving this lovable old soul a comfortable home. If you think you can provide Camo with a forever home, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or fourfootedfriends82@gmail.com. Story
Oakley is a cute, friendly, 10-year-old pitbull mix that is in need of a new home where she can settle down with her human companion. She is the friendliest dog and loves to be around people, spend time with people, and be close to people. She will let you know just how much she enjoys spending time with you through her affection. Oakley loves to give kisses and make people smile, and she of course loves to receive pets and scratches from you in return. Even though she is getting up there in age, Oakley is pretty active and energetic and enjoys being outside in the yard, and going on walks. She is simply just a lot of fun to be around and is one of those dogs who is happiest when she can share her life with you! Oakley is not a fan of cats and she does not like to share her space with other doggie friends either. As a results she should be the only animal in a home. Do you think you can provide her with a forever home? If so, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or dogmanager@fourfootedfriends.org.
