Meet Roger! Roger was brought to ICHS as a stray. This handsome fella is the goofiest dog you'll ever meet! He always knows how to make the shelter staff laugh. There isn't a single person at our shelter who doesn't just absolutely adore this dog! When he isn't getting all the hugs, kisses, and pets from the shelter staff, Rodger loves to be playing! I inherited Desmond after my friend passed away and have had him for the past year. We recently had our first child. Desmond is loving and smart. but very jealous. He doesn't do well with children, he has never bitten a child but becomes very agitated when a child comes near him. He is also very jealous of other dogs. He would do best in a home where he is the center of attention. He is mostly house trained occasionally goes to the bathroom in the basement where he sleeps. We have two cats that he gets along with very well. He loves to cuddle and loves stuffed animals.

I am on the prowl for my fur-ever home now since I was found abandoned at the neighborhood doggie park. I'm not sure what I did that was so bad to just leave me there cuz I'm really a very good girl. They think I'm around 2 years old and weigh in at about 30lbs. I am house trained, calm and obedient. I try my best not to make any extra work for my foster mommy. I absolutely adore kids, they are just the next best thing since milkbones in my book. I do very well with other pups too! My ideal home would have a nice big fenced backyard that comes already stocked with playful siblings (hopefully both the 2 and 4 legged variety) to chase around stealing...err sharing toys!!! At 30lbs I'm at that great size to accompany an active family on all their outdoor activities. I'd love to go with you on nature hikes or camping in the wilderness. I'd even make a great cheering section if any of 'our' kids are on a sports team! Both breeds of my hairytage are known to make great loyal family additions. Grace has been dubbed Amazing Grace because well she's just truly amazing. This girl has got the sweetest and most docile temperament even with all that she has been through. She was abandoned out on the street by her homeless owner on a 14* day. Luckily for her she was saved from freezing to death. This girl has been through so so much in her short years and is still an Amazing Grace! Through many dangers, toils, and snares I have already come This grace that brought me safe thus far And grace will lead me home A home with lots of love, gentle words, comforting pets and a soft bed. Grace is a tad bit intimidated by a man towering over her. She will start shaking but will soon stop when she realizes nothing bad is going to happen to her. And even this she has not shown any aggression. Amazing! Grace loves going for walks and then laying in the yard, soaking up the sun, belly up! She is of moderate energy which just means she will still need some daily exercise but with that in, would do well in town, out in the country or anywhere in between but would absolutely love a yard (for that beloved sun bathing)!! At somewhere between 5 and 6 years and around 45lbs, she has a lot of living and loving yet to do and is at a great size to share your adventures! Whether it's a neighborhood stroll, nature hike or splashing at the river on a hot day, Grace is ready to have fun with you!! She hasn't been kid tested but with her sweet personality she would probably do fine with respectful children. This sweetheart is so deserving of a home...could it possibly be with YOU?!!

This handsome boy is about 9 years old and has spent over three years now at our no-kill shelter. He LOVES the swimming pool and is very food motivated, but he does not like strangers. Dozer is not dog or cat friendly, and he would do best in a home without children. It takes him a considerable amount of time to warm up to new people, but once he does, he is a great walking companion. More than one visit will be needed to bond with this big guy. Dozer is a special needs guy, and it will be important for his future person to work with him to manage his unique needs. Dozer is physically healthy, but he has special behavioral needs that his owner has to understand and work with. He needs assertive leadership in order to be his best self. Hi there! I'm Sapphire and I'm really happy to meet you! I was brought to the shelter in July of 2021. I came in with a bunch of other Pit Bulls, all of which have been adopted. I don't really understand why I am the only one still here. I am a lot of fun! I really like playing in water, so if you ever wanted a buddy to go swimming with, please take me! When I'm not playing in the pool I like to keep active in other ways, like getting the zoomies and sprinting around or playing with toys. While I am a super sweet girl, I will need an experienced owner to continue to work with me and get that energy under control! Because of this I would not do well in a house with children, as I can get very rambunctious. I am also dog selective, but not necessarily opposed to a furry friend! Since arriving to Four Footed Friends when his owner was no longer physically able to take care of him, Camo has been an extremely friendly and affectionate dog. Our staff and volunteers have seen him really enjoy his bath time and do really well with his nails being clipped.
