We’re not quite sure how this handsome wrinkly boy is still waiting for his forever family, because Cheerio is the kind of dog people are always asking us for. Cheerio is a young Shar Pei mix who is officially back in action after his cherry eye surgery and feeling fantastic. Now that his medical needs are behind him, there’s only one thing left on his to do list: find his people. And y’all, this boy makes it EASY. Cheerio is house trained, crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, and does great with other dogs. He settles into a home beautifully and is just an all around easy guy to have around. He’s happy to go for a walk, hang out with his dog friends, follow you around the house, or park himself nearby and supervise whatever you’re doing. He’s affectionate without needing to be glued to you every second, playful without being a complete maniac, and has enough personality packed into those wrinkles to keep you smiling. And we need to clear up one little rumor his pictures have apparently started: Cheerio is NOT a big dog. The camera has been adding at least 20 pounds. He’s only around 30 pounds, which is pretty much the perfect size. Big enough for adventures, small enough that getting him into the bathtub won’t require a forklift. Cheerio has spent enough of his young life in rescue. He’s healthy, happy, trained, dog friendly, ridiculously handsome, and ready to belong to somebody. Seriously… what are y’all waiting for? Cheerio’s adoption fee is $300 and includes his neuter, cherry eye surgery, vaccines, parasite prevention, microchip, and all other veterinary care he has received while with Full Circle Rescue and Sanctuary. Winnie may be 6, but don’t tell her that—she has the energy and playful spirit of a puppy! 😍 She loves walks, playing in the yard, learning new things, and spending time with her people. She’s eager to please, knows commands like “heel” and “watch me,” and is both house- and crate-trained. Winnie has been friendly with dogs of all sizes at daycare, so a playful canine companion could be a wonderful match for her. She’s curious about cats but hasn’t lived with them. She’s also been gentle around babies and has shown friendly interest in older children, although she hasn’t had direct interaction with them. Winnie does have some food sensitivities and needs to stay on her prescribed hydrolyzed diet. She also has some resource guarding around food, so she needs a family who understands the importance of giving her space and leaving her undisturbed while she eats.
