Meet Clyde, a handsome 10-month-old Boxer mix who weighs around 35 lbs. This good boy has a heart as big as his bounce! He’s healthy, happy, and bursting with playful puppy energy. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate companion who will happily join you for adventures and then curl up for snuggles afterward, this is your boy! Before coming into rescue, Clyde and his sister Bonnie survived on their own for several months and experienced severe starvation and neglect. Because of that, they developed some food-related resource guarding - but, only towards other dogs, never people. He is completely comfortable with people of all ages around his food and toys. You can hand-feed him treats, add food to his bowl or take it away from him completely, even while he’s eating, and pick up his toys without any issue at all. He has miraculously always been gentle and very trusting with people. His only concern is making sure that other dogs don’t take his food, especially his sister. We think they found themselves in situations where they had to fight over every piece of food they could find, just to survive. Since being rescued, he has been in a foster home with several other dogs who have similar backgrounds and they have found that he does wonderfully when fed in his own crate. Having his own safe, quiet space to eat allows him to relax and enjoy his meals without worry. Outside of mealtimes, he is a typical older puppy and is happy to play, explore, and lounge around with all other dogs and his people. He is very resilient, loving, and highly intelligent, ready for a fresh start with a family who understands that a little structure at mealtime helps him feel secure. He’s going to make an incredible companion, all he needs now is a forever home where he’ll always know he’s loved and safe - and will never be hungry again. Looking for a loving home for Maple, a female approximately 3–4 years old. Our family's recently moved into an apartment that doesn’t allow dogs. Maple is sweet, affectionate, and playful. She loves rolling around in the grass, spending time with people, and jumping up to play. She needs regular walks and bathroom breaks, at least every 6–8 hours. She is housebroken when kept on a consistent schedule, but she can have accidents if she isn’t taken out regularly. She needs a home without cats or small animals, as she chases them. She has done well with other friendly dogs she’s met. She gets excited around them, so a meet-and-greet would help make sure they’re comfortable with each other.

Lucy is a sweet, gentle girl who can be shy at first but bonds deeply with her person. She came to BARCS from an abusive situation very underweight, and she’s still working on gaining weight and learning that people are safe. ❤️When I adopted Lucy, she was described as very chill and low-energy. As she’s come out of her shell, we’ve discovered a playful, energetic girl underneath! She loves pulling every toy from her basket, playing, and then curling up beside you for snuggles.Her higher-than-expected energy has made house training challenging in my current setup. I think Lucy would thrive with a patient, experienced owner who can give her consistency, exercise, and ideally a fenced yard. She has a few behavioral quirks that need continued work, but she is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and worth the effort. I’m happy to send her crate and bed with her so she has familiar comforts in her new home. ❤️
