Sweet, loyal, and absolutely gorgeous – that’s Dixie in a nutshell. This purebred Shar Pei just turned one on June 7 and is ready to start the next chapter of her life with a family who will cherish her forever.
Dixie's current family is heartbroken to give her up, but due to an unexpected move, they can’t take her along. She’s been raised with love and it shows – Dixie is wonderful with kids, friendly with other dogs and even cats, and is fully house-trained. Her easygoing, affectionate nature makes her a joy to be around.
She is spayed, up-to-date on all vaccinations, and in excellent health. All she needs now is a new home and someone to love.

Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts in the New England area. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, up to date shots, Microchip, Alabama Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you.
The pets are delivered by a licensed transporter.

Please be advised that our volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for our animals. We will respond to your application as soon as possible. Upon review of your application, the rescue in AL will contact you, so you can ask any specific questions that you may have.
NOTE: All Paws of Dixie animals are located in AL foster homes. They will be transported north after adoption.
If there is more than one decision maker in the home, all of them should be in agreement.
