🖤🐾 Meet Winnie! 🐾🖤 This beautiful 6-year-old black Shar-Pei is one special girl! Winnie may be 6, but don’t tell her that—she has the energy and playful spirit of a puppy! 😍 She loves walks, playing in the yard, learning new things, and spending time with her people. She’s eager to please, knows commands like “heel” and “watch me,” and is both house- and crate-trained. Winnie has been friendly with dogs of all sizes at daycare, so a playful canine companion could be a wonderful match for her. She’s curious about cats but hasn’t lived with them. She’s also been gentle around babies and has shown friendly interest in older children, although she hasn’t had direct interaction with them. Winnie does have some food sensitivities and needs to stay on her prescribed hydrolyzed diet. She also has some resource guarding around food, so she needs a family who understands the importance of giving her space and leaving her undisturbed while she eats. Maggie is a 10-year-old spayed female Chinese Shar Pei mix, about 50 lbs, living with her owner in Medford, MA. She is a calm, low-energy “professional couch potato” who gets along well with dogs but has a high prey drive and is not cat-tested. Maggie is wary of strangers, especially men with beards, and can be defensive in the home, so she needs a mature, quiet household with few visitors and respected boundaries. She is fully housetrained, can stay alone for a standard workday, but has separation anxiety and is not crate trained. Maggie is older, arthritic, and takes daily medication plus an estrogen pill to prevent bedwetting. She knows several commands and enjoys slow walks, sniffing, and relaxing on the stoop. Wary of homes with children.
