Thelma **Not Available to Be Seen Until Open House in April 2026** Good with Kids & Dogs! Meet Thelma! 5 mos./30 lb./Female/Shar-Pei Mix Name: Thelma Age: 5 months Weight: 30 lbs Breed: Shar-Pei Mix Status: Adventurous, loyal, and looking for her ride-or-die ❤️ About Me: Hi! I’m Thelma — one half of an iconic duo and a puppy with a big heart and an even bigger future. I’m playful, curious, and always ready to explore the world one paw at a time. At 5 months old, I’m still learning all the good dog things like manners, leash walking, and how to be the best companion ever. I’ve got that adorable Shar-Pei charm, a squishy face that melts hearts, and a fun-loving personality that makes every day feel like a new adventure. With love, guidance, and a little patience, I’ll grow into a loyal best friend who’s always ready to ride shotgun in life. Best Qualities: • Playful, happy puppy energy • Smart and eager to learn • Affectionate and people-loving • Always ready for the next adventure • Expert tail wagger My Ideal Match: • A home ready for puppy fun and training • Someone excited to teach me the ropes of being a great dog • A family that enjoys walks, playtime, and adventures • Humans who appreciate a loyal sidekick Deal Breakers: • Couch potato households with no time for puppy energy • Skipping training and structure • Anyone not ready for the fun (and chaos) of puppyhood Fun Fact: I’m named after Thelma from the famous duo — which means I’m basically destined for adventure… but my story ends with cuddles, not cliff jumps.

Louise **Currently Available for Adoption** Good with Kids & Dogs! Meet Louise! 5 mos./32 lb./Female/Shar-Pei Mix Name: Louise Age: 5 months Weight: 32 lbs Breed: Shar-Pei Mix Status: Bold spirit, soft heart, and ready to steal yours About Me: Hey there — I’m Louise! I may share a famous name, but my goal in life is much simpler: find my people and love them forever. I’m a playful, curious puppy who’s still figuring out the world, and every day brings something new to learn. Whether it’s chasing toys, exploring the yard, or curling up after a busy day of puppy adventures, I’m happiest when I’m with my humans. My Shar-Pei good looks and wrinkly charm might catch your eye — but it’s my sweet personality that will win your heart. Best Qualities: • Sweet, affectionate puppy • Curious and eager to explore • Smart and ready to learn • Playful and fun-loving • Built-in best friend potential My Ideal Match: • A loving home committed to raising a puppy • Someone patient and consistent with training • A family excited for walks, playtime, and bonding • Humans looking for a loyal lifelong companion Deal Breakers: • Not enough time for training or socialization • Missing out on puppy snuggles • Homes not ready for the joys of puppy life Fun Fact: Yes, I’m named Louise — but instead of dramatic road trips, my version of adventure includes zoomies, belly rubs, and maybe stealing your spot on the couch.

Story
Adoption Donation  $    299      Located:  RI  (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details ) Age: est. DOB 8/21/24   Weight: 65 lbs. Meet Chevy aka Puddles  This sweet 1-year-old pup is goofy and smart all in one beautiful package.  He does have some quirks that have kept him from winning over his own family. Chevy has stranger-danger and does not meet new people well. He does take a couple meets before he feels comfortable. He barks and guards his soul so none of those pesky human strangers can steal it.  If you can get past his quirk, I promise, this dog is one amazing friend. We all love him here in his foster home. He does currently live with kids and a baby but because of his quirky ways, I would feel better if he went to an adult only, experienced home.  He gets along great with the other dogs in my home besides the occasional toy scruffle. We don't know how he would be with cats.  He does bark and growl at strangers so a low traffic home would be best and a fenced yard is a must because it will take Chevy time to trust his new human and probably won't feel safe with a stranger walking him right away. Puddles is currently working with a trainer.  Come visit Puddles in his foster home any time just promise not to steal his soul.   *** As part of the adoption donation this pup will participate in FOA's spay/neuter program or other programs available through FOHA. All puppies will have age appropriate vaccinations.  All small Pups need to be adopted by by children old enough to understand how to be respectful and gentle in handling a small young pup. ***     If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website   www.fohari.org and email my foster parent for more information:    reginasfosterdogs@gmail.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.       Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt.  From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit.  If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Your adoption fee helps to cover the cost of all age appropriate vetting and transportation. FOHARI.ORG makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the animal. The animal is adopted ‘as is’, and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. FOHARI.ORG will provide the animal with the basic vaccines, heart worm test and sterilization of dogs and cats before adoption if the age and current health of the animal permits.
