As a Rescue do not euthanize dogs but dogs that are listed as URGENT are still waiting to be saved from animal control and they do euthanise. We can only save them when space is available or have an adopter. Michael is 11 months bulldog mix He’s a baby. He needs a hero to save his life and adopt him. This puppy is sweet, loving and playful. He is fully vetted, and good with other dogs. Let’s give them a home of his own with lots of love and adventures! Add to your family and you won’t regret it!!

Flora is approximately 8 months old and about 45-50lbs.

Story
Litterbug is a 1 year old, male, Bulldog mix who has spent almost all of his young life in the shelter. Despite his sweet nature and bright personality, he’s STILL waiting for someone to give him a chance. Watching him grow up in a cage is truly heartbreaking. He is an intelligent pup and is eager to please. Whether it's exploring on walks, where his leash skills shine, or playing with his toys, Litterbugs curiosity and energy make him a joy to be around. He is up to date on vaccinations and has been neutered.  Photo: Traer Scott Photography Unfortunately, due to past issues with landlords/housing/insurance, a restricted breed policy is in place for Bully breed/Pit Bull type dogs. This means that you must own your home and provide proof of homeownership to adopt a Bully breed/Pit Bull dog or puppy. While we understand that this may be an inconvenience, it is necessary to help reduce the number of devastated dogs being returned. We apologize for the inconvenience. PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO STRINGENT OUT OF STATE HEALTH CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS WE ARE NOW ONLY ADOPTING TO RHODE ISLAND RESIDENTS*. We apologize for the inconvenience. HOW TO GO ABOUT ADOPTING: 1. Come in during adoption hours to apply and full out an application completely. We have applications on site. Open adoption hours take place at 44 Worthington Road in Cranston, RI. We are open every Wednesday 3-7pm and Saturday 10am-2pm. 2. We require proof of homeownership (tax form, deed, mortgage statement) or landlord approval (a copy of your lease that clearly states you are allowed to have a dog, puppy, cat, or kitten OR written and signed consent from your landlord. 3. We require copies of up to date vet records for any current pets. Helpful reminders: *We do not do same day adoptions. *Please bring the entire family in to meet the animal you are interested in. *We will setup a meet and greet with your dog at a later date. PLEASE do not bring your dog with you when you come in to apply.
