His favorite things in the world are discovering balls in the yard and his friends.This cuddle bug would like an medium/active energy owner. By this we mean, you either love walks or would fit him into your gardening time in the yard. He would know how to self entertain with balls/toys as you garden, but sometimes would come in check with you to make sure you know he's still your garden pal.Treat motivated and Dog selective, Trap can be friends with his peers with proper introductions. He trusts the humans he knows and will slowly warm up to strangers.Once he gets some of his energy out, Trap is very content just relaxing, check in for some pets, napping, and playing with his toys. He also loves to snuggle. Trap is very house trained and rides well in the car. He is a very smart cookie and loves puzzle games too! He will thrive with an active person who will engage his body and his brain.Come meet Trap soon! Waiting, Loving, and Ready for a Forever — Squish Before anyone knew his name, Squish was waiting. He was found outside someone’s house and simply stayed, as if he believed that if he waited long enough, the right person would open the door. Maybe he was waiting for kindness. Maybe for love. Maybe for a place where he could finally belong. Squish eventually came to APA! from a community along the Texas/Mexico border that couldn’t care for him, but even now, he carries that same quiet hope. He’s a sweet, social boy with puppy-like energy, gently curious about the world and endlessly affectionate to the people he trusts. Squish loves being near his humans. He leans in for pets, follows along just to be close, and settles happily wherever he feels safe. He has done well with other dogs and seems comfortable sharing space with canine friends. He walks fairly well on leash and will continue to grow with a little practice, patience, and love. And now, Squish is waiting again — not outside a house this time, but here — hoping that someone sees him and realizes he’s been waiting for them all along.
