Scrappy, about 50 lbs About me: My wrinkles may be minimal, but my heart is huge. I'm playful, affectionate, and always down to make new dog friends or join a game in the yard. But my real love language? Finding the coziest heated blanket in the house and melting into it like the snuggle champion I am. I'll happily switch between playmate and professional cuddle buddy — whatever you need. My résumé: House trained ✅ Know sit, lay down, stay, and leave it ✅ Great with kids ✅ Self-appointed security guard — I take 'protect and serve' seriously and have been known to hop the child gate to greet visitors myself, especially new ones. (The gardeners are still on my watch list, sorry not sorry.) A few honest quirks, because I believe in full transparency on the first date: I pull a little on the leash (working on it). Car rides aren't my favorite — I'll whine the whole way, but I'm otherwise a good passenger. Thunderstorms make me nervous. Baths make me an Olympic sprinter, so we've switched to waterless ones. I can be crated, but I don't really enjoy it and tend to rub my nose. Lately I've just been hanging out loose on dog beds in the living room (and sneaking onto the big bed at night — don't tell). Affectionately called "Dorito Ears," Trap is very smart and knows the common commands. He would also want to let you know that he would love to learn more from you! His favorite things in the world are discovering balls in the yard and his friends. This cuddle bug would like an medium/active energy owner. By this we mean, you either love walks or would fit him into your gardening time in the yard. He would know how to self entertain with balls/toys as you garden, but sometimes would come in check with you to make sure you know he's still your garden pal. Treat motivated and Dog selective, Trap can be friends with his peers with proper introductions. He trusts the humans he knows and will slowly warm up to strangers. Once he gets some of his energy out, Trap is very content just relaxing, check in for some pets, napping, and playing with his toys. He also loves to snuggle. Trap is very house trained and rides well in the car. He is a very smart cookie and loves puzzle games too! He will thrive with an active person who will engage his body and his brain. I’ve been told that if someone steps up to foster or adopt me, APA! will bring me into their program and help me get ready for home life, so I'm just waiting to be chosen. 2/13/2026 Nova III is an owner surrender looking for a new home. Hi! My name is Nova! I am a beautiful 1 year old white boxer girl that is an owner surrender due to my family not having room for me. I am an active girl that also happens to be deaf but don't let that shy you away! It is said that I live with and get along with other dogs! I also live with 3 kids (ages 6-18 years) and am good with them! I have never lived with a cat so it is uncertain if I am feline friendly. I am crate trained but will find a way out of it if able. I am a young girl and learning, but I will need assistance with house training in my forever home. At night I sleep in a kennel and when the humans must be away, I am good outside but do not like being left alone inside. When outside I am curious what is under the grass and will dig to find out. During my time outdoors it is important for me to have proper supervision because I can not hear cars coming or potential danger. I do not like being alone or in my kennel for a long time but I do love riding in the car, digging, chewing on toys, being around other dogs, and people! 7/15/2026 Zeus X is an owner surrender looking for a new home. Hi! My name is Zeus X! I am a handsome 2.5 year old flashy fawn boy that is an owner surrender due to my owner passing away and because of the season of life of my current caretakers, they are unable to long term care for me. I am bonded with my littermate, Zoey XIII, so we are needing to be adopted together which means double the Boxer love and fun for you! I am described as friendly, active, playful, affectionate, and obedient! My littermate and I live together and as best as our caretakers can tell we are dog friendly. We have been boarded and there is a resident cat there that I get along with. There are no kids in my current home but I get along well with the teen grandkids and get excited when I first see them because I think they are there to play with me! I am house trained, crate trained, know basic commands, and at night I sleep in my crate. If the humans must be away I am crated due to still learning not to boher things laying around the house at times. When outside I have good behavior and do not dig or attempt to jump fences/gates. Some of my favorite things are riding in the car, tug ropes, play pretzels, playing tug of war, getting attention, cheese when told to 'kennel', chew treats, sleeping, excitedly greeting new people that come over (I am getting much better at properly greeting them), being the human's shadow, and playfully attacking the vacuum cleaner!
