He’s the happiest dog with his tail always wagging. He has quickly learned to walk on a leash and will be working on other commands soon. This kid is what we call a pocket boxer! Weighing in at pocket size, we think this is the biggest he will get. Shows no signs of prey drive, has amazing leash skills compared to his arrival, and just wants a couch to cuddle on. Stitch was found seeking shade under an 18-wheeler in East Austin. His owner was contacted but did not want him, leading me to believe he was likely dumped. Stitch is a GEM. He loves his kennel and sleeps through the night without a peep. He walks on a leash like a gentleman, loves a good car ride, and has not had a single accident inside. He loves naps, sticks, and tug o war. He gets along well with dogs of all sizes and has been very respectful of my two large dogs. He is not food aggressive and waits patiently for his turn during meal time. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and heartworm negative. He has some protein sensitivities that cause itchy skin and does best on a fish-based diet. He was an angel at the vet and allowed them to do a full exam + shots with no fuss. He also stood quietly while I bathed him and trimmed his nails. Stitch would love a fur sibling, but does not need one. He deserves a home where he will receive the same abundance of love that he gives.

Nelson is a very calm, patient, and sweet boy! In the shelter when his neighbors sometimes get rowdy and loud he is calm and poised like the true laid back gentleman that he is. Nelson would be a fantastic adventure partner, he’s in great shape and is a loose leash walker. He loves to sniff and explore in the play yard but also comes over when called and is not phased by other pups that walk by on walks. He is house trained and enjoys the company of other dogs. Nelson also lovesss booty scratches, he really enjoys getting brushed in the “real life rooms” on AAC campus. Nelson is ready to meet his forever family, please come meet Nelson today!!

A good Samaritan found Chaplin abandoned and wounded in a park and brought him to AAC where Chaplin recovered and healed. Chaplin is energetic at first, but after getting his zoomies out, he is a pretty chill dog. He is housetrained and easy to leash up. He loves to cuddle and is curious about his humans, following them around to make sure he doesn’t miss out on anything. He’s also a fan of treats! He’s very friendly and inquisitive with new people but can become shy or nervous if there’s a lot going on. He’ll need some guidance and reassurance in those types of situations. Chaplin has successfully lived with other dogs and loves cats. He wouldn’t mind a home with canine or feline friends. Ideally, Chaplin would love a home with a securely fenced in yard and family that could help get him through his heartworm treatment (sponsored by Emancipet). This sweet boy has been through a lot and he can’t wait to finally have a real home and settle down with his forever family.

We have had Buddha since he was a puppy. Loves to play fetch and give kisses. He’s trained and neutered. Loves to hop in the shower and get hosed down with the shower head. As he’s gotten older he’s not getting along with our other male dog. He’s a great dog just needs to be by himself of with a girl.
