Story
Chaga is a 3 year old (oct,10,2022) German shepherd, mixed with an old English shepherd, doodle mix. She is a people dog, she loves to be with family and will cling to her favorite person. She’s loves to say hi to company or to anyone really. she loves pets, her ball and running. Overall she’s an amazing dog. Chaga does have a life long medical illness, she has a condition called Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI), she will need powder enzymes and B12 vitamins to help with her problems, mixing the powder with her food and giving her B12 daily. Other than this condition she’s an amazing dog. We can’t provide the time or financial means to take care of her right now ( problems with work) so we are looking for a family who can provide that.

After being abandoned and left to survive for weeks on the streets of Bakersfield, this beautiful girl was finally brought to safety thanks to some amazing rescue partners who patiently trapped her and gave her a second chance. True to her sheepdog roots, Nova is incredibly loyal, people-focused, and tuned in to the humans around her. She has that wonderful sheepdog combination of gentleness, intelligence, and devotion — the kind of dog who wants to be near her people, watch what’s going on, and become part of the family rhythm. Despite everything she has been through, Nova is super sweet and loving. She is not skittish, which says so much about her resilient spirit. She’s affectionate, steady, and ready to bond with the people who will finally show her what it means to be safe and cherished. Nova will likely thrive in a home that appreciates a smart, sensitive, loyal companion — someone who will give her structure, love, and the chance to keep blossoming. She has survived the hardest chapter of her life, and now she is ready for the best one: a forever home of her own.
