Story
Amber sure lives up to her name where the color of amber imbues, warmth, positivity and wisdom. Would you see when you first meet this beautiful, young girl is an 18 month, 60 pound Collie mix that loves to receive affection as well as nd she has so much to give back. This girl just want to be right by your side and enjoy the people round her.  She was found by some local residents in a very small, rural community but soon realized that no one was looking for this very good girl. Critter cavalry rescue volunteers readily took her in and quickly found out how smart she is.  As she is learning to walk on a leash, we also have learned that due to being astray and wandering on her own for a while. She is developed a bit of a clingy personality that will need a little bit of work and reassurance. Amber loves to play with her stuffed bunny who seems to be her BFF and she also likes to be brushed. She's a sweetheart with other dogs, but we haven't had a chance to cat. If I fit, I will sit as you can see in my picture. Shelly came into the shelter again as a stray, so we don`t have a lot of info on her. She came in very quiet and subdued but has blossomed into a fun loving happy young girl. She loves to be out and about on leash and play in the yard. Shelly is an extremely friendly girl and hasn`t met a person she didn`t want to play with. We don`t know if she is housebroken but her inside kennel is always perfectly clean so we would guess she is a clean lady. Due to her size, we would recommend an active home with no small children. We worry that she will knock a small child over by accident. Get your application in on this lady and come meet her. She will be a great addition to any home.

Some were strays never reclaimed. Others were surrendered by their families — and sadly, owner surrenders are the first to be euthanized, as they receive no stray hold. Thankfully, our rescue partner in Tennessee stepped in just in time, saving 15 incredible dogs from the “last call” list. Each has now received full veterinary care and is preparing for a fresh start in PA. Despite their past, these dogs are full of hope and heart. Could this survivor be your new best friend?                                                                              KENNEL ID #18804 Nine-year-old Maverick and ten-year-old Bella were rescued from a high-kill shelter in Greene County, TN, where overcrowding forces heartbreaking decisions every day. Some of them were strays that were never reclaimed. Others were surrendered by their families — and sadly, owner surrenders are the first to be euthanized, as they receive no stray hold. Bella & Maverick‘s owner passed away suddenly and a family member surrendered them both to the shelter, knowing that they were at the top of the list to be euthanized. Maverick is housebroken, good with children, some other dogs, and cats. She knows commands, and is leash-trained. Thankfully, our rescue partner in Tennessee stepped in just in time, saving 15 incredible dogs from the “last call” list.
