FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Cher! Cher is a beautiful 1-year-old, 30 lb Sheltie/Shepherd mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. She's a sensitive girl who is still learning that the world is a safe place and is looking for a patient home where she can decompress and grow at her own pace. Cher's ideal home is a calm, quiet, adult-only household with adopters who understand herding breeds. She needs a standalone home with a securely fenced yard, as she is not yet comfortable walking on a leash, and a playful, confident resident dog who can help show her that people and new experiences aren't so scary. While people are still intimidating to Cher, she absolutely lights up around other dogs. She matches their energy, takes cues from them, and clearly learns by watching them. A confident canine companion isn't just a bonus for Cher, it's one of the keys to helping her thrive. With her dog friends, her playful, active personality begins to shine. As she settles in, her herding breed traits have started to emerge. Cher enjoys herding her dog buddies and can be a little bossy at times, so a dog-savvy home familiar with working breeds would be a great fit. Continued positive socialization, confidence-building, and training will help her continue to blossom. Cher may not be the dog who greets you at the door on day one, but for someone willing to invest the time and patience she deserves, the reward will be watching a shy dog transform into a devoted companion. If you can offer a secure yard, a confident dog friend, and a quiet place to land, Cher may be the perfect match. Cher is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.

Story
• Meet most beautiful and playful Piper! Piper is young and small, close to one year old and she weighs only 32lbs. Miss Piper was rescued and fostered in eastern Washington but is ready for transport and her forever family! Piper is an active youngster and needs exercise and mental stimulation. She has received training with her foster but will need you to keep up her training too. Piper is so smart and eager to please that training is fun and rewarding. Piper would be a great candidate for agility and/or flyball too. This girl can jump! Piper loves attention and would love to be your lapdog. She is affectionate and will follow you around as you’re shadow. She has shown to be good with cats – she was scared of fosters cats at first, but now walks up to them to sniff them and moves on. She doesn't really care to play with them, but also doesn't care if they rub on her. Piper has been around kids too; though she will need you to watch her energy around the little ones. She is submissive with people and sensitive to correction. She is definitely a true people-pleaser. Piper is house-trained and crate-trained and likes her crate a lot, treating it as her quiet space. Piper currently prefers women and is not quite as comfortable around men. We are working on that and she will warm up after her intros. Same goes for her comfort level with her dog pals. Piper prefers male dogs. She will need slow introductions with her new canine girl- friends, as always! Charming and gorgeous Piper is very vocal. This young playful pup will be ‘chatty’ when she’s seeking your attention or and is so fun and active. Piper is spayed and fully vaccinated, including Lepto. She has also received flea and de-worming treatments.
