Meet Willow! The sweetest shadow you’ll ever have! Willow is a gentle, 8–9 month old girl weighing about 35 pounds. She has a beautiful black coat, with a patch of white on her chest and adorable speckled toes. She’s a calm, loving soul who settles easily into a calm home life and just wants to be close to her person. This little lady is fully crate trained, wonderfully polite, and loves nothing more than curling up on the couch or quietly dozing under your desk while you work from home. Willow can be a bit timid at first, but she warms up quickly and soon becomes your loyal companion. Once she trusts you, she’ll follow you everywhere with her signature, soft, sweet presence. Willow gets along with other calm dogs, enjoys being outdoors, and—being young—would make the perfect adventure buddy for someone who loves exploring. Whether you’re heading out for a weekend hike or simply relaxing at home, Willow is happy as long as she’s by your side.  Willow would prefer a more calm home with older kids. She is just settling into her foster home and while she is doing well, we know she is still decompressing and trying to adjust to her new situation. When she moves to her forever home, a little patience will help her a lot. Animal Information: Winston and his siblings Waylon and Winnie were surrendered to Haven Humane Society at one week old and rescued by one of our California partners. They have grown up in a home with dogs, cats, kids, horses and other livestock. Mama was only 40lbs, but we don't know who dad was. These puppies are friendly, playful and so very sweet.  Foster Profile: Winston (who we call Kip)  is truly one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet—a total love bug who lives for cuddles and closeness. He has a calm, gentle nature and would thrive in a home with other dogs, animals, and kids. He’s not much of a barker and isn’t easily startled, making him an easy, steady presence in the home.  He is also incredibly smart and eager to please—he genuinely wants to be a “good boy.” In just one afternoon, he learned how to go into his crate on command, as well as sit and lie down. For a six-month-old puppy, he has a wonderful balance of calm and playful energy. He loves zooming around the yard, especially during a game of frisbee, complete with the cutest floppy, sideways run.  Like any growing puppy, he is currently teething, so hard chews and frozen treats are his best friends right now. With his sweet temperament, quick learning, and affectionate nature, he is going to make an incredible companion for a very lucky family. A home with a securely fence yard and a canine compaion would be ideal. We are not considering apartments for him at this time. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter (on contract, if applicable), core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. He is a total puppy, curious about everything while stumbling over chasing his tail after grabbing a random sock. He is gentle and great with kids, dogs, and other creatures (he has been around cats and chickens). He is great with pottying outside, and sleeps through the night in his crate. He is working on leash training, but loves his walks and smelling all the smells. He would make a wonderful addition to any active home.
