Story
My name is Sally.  I am a fun outgoing girl searching for a forever partner or family.  I am a Collie mix, almost 3 years old, just over 50 lbs.  I am vaccinated, house trained and spayed.  I love to hike, play fetch, take leisurely walks, go for car rides and cuddle up to watch a movie with you.  Due to past abuse, I do not like to be crated or enclosed in small spaces alone.  I am extremely athletic so a fenced yard is preferred.  I like kids, most dogs and am cat selective.  I have attended doggy day care in the past and did great but in my own home I really don't like to share my toys.  I think I need to be the only dog in the home unless your other dog is very chill. I love doggy daycare and dog parks, but I really don't like sharing my 'person' at home. My first two years had been pretty rough leaving me with a few emotional scars but I am optimistic that there is a big hearted person out there who wants me.  Is it you?  If you could consider sharing your life with me or even becoming my foster parent, please contact BlackDogLady22@gmail.com or text 360 516 3378.  THANK YOU!September 20, 2023, 1:46 pm

Story
Hello, Coyote here,Thank you so much for looking at my profile. I know I have a pretty impressive look, right? My foster thinks I am part smooth collie, part Belgian sheepdog, and mostly just loveable! Well ok, she might be a little biased.Despite the name, I am a total marshmallow. I love all the dogs I live with and the cats too. I am very much a puppy so playing is a full-time job. I am not the ""bouncing off the wall"" kind of puppy, but I do have lots of energy until I don’t. Toys are great, the noisier the better!Did someone say beach? OMG, I love it there, I could spend the whole day in the water. Car rides are fun too especially when they end up at the beach.I have learned some manners too, I sit and wait for my food, and I know how to Sit and Come on command (although it is a Spanish command) I am a young dog who still has lots to learn, and my ideal family would be one where we could do things together. Things like a long walk or run. Go to the beach. I haven’t been camping but I think I would love that too. If that sounds like we could be a match then just fill in the application and we can meet on a Zoom call.Lots of love to give,Coyote To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. Story
Meet Nunu🩵 He was rescued from dog meat farm where they illegally slaughtered dogs for 14 years. Nunu looks very handsome and has dark eyelines who resembles wolves, and because his eyes look extremely charming, we have named him Nunu(Eun Woo)🥰 (Cha Eun Woo is a very good looking, handsome Korean actor). Nunu has an outgoing, energetic personality who gets along well with both human and other doggy friends and gets praised in any places.🐶 *Separation anxiety: He can whimper when his foster mom and dad leave together, but when they leave separately in 30 seconds to 1 minute apart, he doesn’t whimper and takes a rest. *Potty training: Housebroken 99.9%, pees on pad when he can’t wait. *More interested in people than doggy friends, and more interested in human adults than children! He likes to act cute and be a lovebug to even human strangers.🐕 *Gets along well with puppy friends, likes to play with small sized dogs and can be very sweet to puppies. *Likes to greet people outside but can be shy to visitors coming to his foster’s home and doesn’t go near to visitors. *Meeting men over 50 years old is scary so he growls in a low voice and tries to run away but no nipping. When meeting people outside, he walks good and doesn’t like someone to pet him but still accepts it. *Interested in cats so he approaches them first. If you say “No”, then he comes back. *Likes to go another place after his walking training is done but once his leash gets pulled, then he follows the foster right away. *Will whimper if he wants something, but he gives up quickly and stops making a whimpering sound. If you say “No”, he stops right away. *He doesn’t cause accidents or no indoor marking!😊 💙 Nunu’s foster Instagram : @lovelyari_adogs_eunwo

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.   I am a fun, outgoing girl with a sensitive side.  I am a Collie-husky mix, spayed female, 55 lbs, who just turned 3 yo.  I love to play fetch, hike, take leisurely walks, or hangout and watch a good movie with you.  Due to past abuse, I do not like to be crated or enclosed in small spaces alone.  I am housebroken, know basic commands and enjoy car rides.  I am extremely athletic so a fenced yard is a must.  I like kids, most dogs (Always more at ease with smaller dogs. Some bigger dogs scare me) and cats.  I have attended doggy daycare in the past.  My first two years have been ruff and I was bounced around quite a bit, but I am optimistic there is a good human out there who wants me.  Is it you?   Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 21, 2023, 8:35 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Alfie is an estimated 2-year-old, 55 lb neutered male Lab Red Heeler mix that joined us from Texas. This fun and athletic boy has a new lease on life after barely escaping the Freer shelter, where he ended up after his owner moved to an apartment and couldn't take him along. He has been fostered with one of our rescue partners who describes him as smart and energetic. We are told he is always a smiling, happy boy, loves to walk on leash, and would do great on hikes. He has not been evaluated with cats or kids. We will share more about him as we get to know him in foster care.  Foster Update: Do you greet the world enthusiastically ?? So Does Alfie! Want to hike for hours with a good boi who can keep up with you and then snuggle and smooch you at the end? Alfie was Made for that! Alfie is a great guy and a volunteer favorite! Alfie has come such a long way and is looking for dedicated experienced leadership to help him continue to be his best  He's progressing well with his crate training, and he is doing amazing on his leash with a prong! Dog-respectful kids 13+ will be considered. This boy needs a family that will give him leadership and help him continue to be the best buddy ever. No first-time dog owners for Alfie, and breed experience is a plus. He will do fine as the only dog, or with a patient canine companion. Alfie is a good boy who wants to do his best for you. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was surrendered to the Freer shelter by an owner who moved to an apartment. Story
* KRAKEN CALENDAR FEATURE DOG * Yes, Ellie is in the 2023 Kraken Calendar with Buoy! Animal Profile: Ellie is an estimated 2-year-old female mixed breed (her paperwork says Border Collie but we think McNab possibly with lab or pittie) who was rescued as a stray on the streets of Texas. She currently weighs about 50 lbs. Seattle Foster Update: Ellie is a very fun loving and affectionate dog who is adjusting well to foster care. She has not met a stranger and enjoys pets, belly rubs, and playing fetch with all people. She loves to do zoomies and is so funny when she runs at full speed -- she makes the funniest faces! She is super smart and food motivated which is helpful with training, but she also lacks impulse control (wants to do everything at 110%) so she will need a structured home that can set and consistently enforce boundaries such as being calm coming out of the crate and going through doorways, walking in a structured heel on a training collar, and practicing place in the house. (She is staying in "place" for over an hour at a time, except for when there's some big distraction.) Ellie now has a good foundation and knows loose leash walking with a confident handler, and is crate trained. All she needs is the right home. Ellie loves car rides and playing tug. She is quiet and content in her crate. She loves to play with other dogs but has a rude play style so would do best with a tolerant playful dog in the home, or as the only dog. She has lived with cats in the past but does need a lot of management with them so would do best without cats in the home as well. While she is friendly with children, older kids would be best due to Ellie's size and general enthusiasm for life. Adopter Profile:  Large dog experience required Other tolerant dogs considered No cats preferred Older kids OK Fenced yard required Ability to continue with training Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $500, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.  Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: Ellie joined us from our Texas rescue partner on February 16, 2022. She was fostered in the greater Seattle area and adopted and then many months later returned for being "out of control;" she had not been trained. She is currently in a training savvy foster home and doing great. She is available for adoption in the greater Seattle area. September 22, 2023, 4:01 am

Disclaimer: I am located in Texas. I can be transported once adopted. Transport fee is $230.I was surrendered along with my 4 puppies because my family could not take care of me. I am an amazing jumper and have lots of energy. My foster mom thinks I would be amazing at agility training courses . I do not like to be by myself, so a home with a calmer dog would help settle me. I am good with other dogs but also love my humans. I am still a puppy at heart. I was raised with 3 children aged 8-16 so I would do well with an energetic family.*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41
