Story
Hola,I am five year old Lambo and I am a slight and compact black dog with white patches and a brindle undercoat. I’m on a quest to find interesting human playmates, chums and friends. You bet I’m house broken, walk pretty well on a leash, take treats softly from your palm, enjoy squeaky stuffed toys and all over body rubs. Sometimes I pull ever so slightly on a leash so we can work on perfecting that skill together. I just need a little more practice and encouragement from you. My two favorite hobbies are walking and playing fetch. I have a calm, quiet disposition, I am playful but not anxious and I’m not a barker. I am the perfect blend of curious explorer and cuteness! The volunteers have told me that I’m going to be a sweet and positive addition to some lucky home.Did I say that I love back rubs, sniffing everything and sitting like a gentleman for treats (emphasis on treats). I am looking for a family who will appreciate my big heart and happy smile. I would thrive in a home where I am the only pet as I don’t know many other dogs. So, if you have a dog at home bring him/her when you visit me to see how we get along. It would be so cool to have a yard to enjoy running and roaming. I am neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. If you are ready to live with and love on a playful happy dog Lambo is a must see! Come and play in the park with me. Just contact my great friends at the Humane Society of Sedona at: 928.282.4679 any day of the week 10am-4pm; excluding major holidays. I’d love a chance to go for a walk in the Red Rocks.

Story
Juno is a good girl. We got her about 4 years ago and she got along well with our other animals at the time, up until 2 years ago. Unfortunately, after giving birth to my child the stress of the new baby had caused a rift between Juno and the rest of the animals in the house. Her and my other large dog have to be kept separate for Junos safety. My 2 cats pick on Juno as well and corner her at times. I have tried to integrate her back into the pack but after a period of time the fights start again. Juno is always the one getting beat up and I think it's to time to find a more suitable home for her. She's around 80 lbs and full of love. She is slow to warm when meeting people but extremely loyal and sweet. She love's to play and go on walks. I want Juno to go to a home where she is the only animal and with older, calmer children that will respect her space.

🐾 Urgently Looking for a Loving Home! Meet Dude! Dude was brought in from a property with 10 other dogs. When he and the others arrived at the shelter, they were completely shut down and fearful. Since then, we have been working tirelessly to get them to start trusting humans. While his life didn't have the best start, we are committed to making sure that Dude finds the loving home he deserves. Dude has made incredible strides here at the shelter, and we believe he is ready for a Foster or Forever Home! 🏡 What Dude Needs in a Home: Dude will thrive with an owner who can provide structure, confidence, and continued patience. Confident Owner Required: Dude needs a confident, experienced owner who can provide clear direction and stability. His new family must be willing to continue his training and socialization. He is an intelligent boy and is almost potty trained! Home Presence: Dude is looking for a home where someone can be present for the majority of the day, as he does not do well and can be stressed when crated for long periods. Child Restriction: Due to his fearful nature and specific behavioral needs, a home is required with no children younger than 15 years old. This is to ensure a calm and predictable environment for Dude. Canine Companion Criteria: Dude can live with another dog, but his companion must be a larger, confident dog who is between the ages of 3 and 5 and loves to play. This stable dog will serve as a good role model for Dude's continued progress. If you are ready to open your home and heart to a dog ready to bloom, please come meet Dude! Interested in learning more about Dude? Come meet me at High Country Humane located at 11665 N. Highway 89, Flagstaff, AZ 86004. Our shelter is open Thursday–Tuesday, 11am–5pm, and closed on Wednesdays. Adopting with High Country Humane means your new pet is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped (we register it for free!). Each adoption also includes a free health exam. Please bring a leash and collar with you or plan to purchase here. We can’t wait to help you meet your new furry friend!

Story
Brutis, or Fruit Brute as he was warmly named by staff, is a brawny boxer mix and big love bug! I adore people and know sit and shake commands but I don`t quite realize my size. When I lay my head on your leg for body rubs the look of love in my eyes will go straight to your heart and melt it.I am a delightful, silly “wanna be lap dog”. I am a sweet, easy going, affectionate, animated 4 year old and I can be ready for an adventure or a game of fetch in a minute. My zoomies are superb and feel so good. I need a pack leader who is strong and willing to teach me patience and proper walking skills. I am working with everyone at the shelter to learn to stay down and since I am smart, I am already mastering this. I enjoy meeting friendly strangers. My previous owner passed away and I sometimes cry when I am taken back to my kennel. I miss not being at home because I bloom with human connections. I am a loyal and awesome family dog, a gentle giant with a big heart that just wants to be loved - belly rubs and ear scratches are my absolute favorite things in life!I am potty trained, neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a big dog with an even bigger love to give, I am here waiting for you. Please contact the caring folks at the Humane Society of Sedona at: 928.282.4679 any day of the week 10am-4pm; excluding major holidays. I would love for us to get together for a meet and greet if I sound like a fit for you and my future family!
