Story
Gunner was rescued as a stray with his brother at 3 months old and adopted at 4 months. Since then, he has worked with a professional trainer and made meaningful progress.Gunner is about 1 year old and has many great qualities:• Great with other dogs• Very food motivated (no food aggression)• Knows basic commands• Wonderful on leash• Very loyal and loving with our familyWe’ve been working with a professional trainer who describes him as having territorial (protective, not fearful) instincts. He can be reactive when new people enter the home but continues to make progress with structure and consistency. The trainer is also willing to continue working with Gunner and his future adopter to help ensure a successful transition. We believe Gunner would do best in an experienced, adult-only home that can provide leadership and ongoing training.

Story
Grace came from Contra Costa County Animal Services, where she was the last dog on the euthanasia list the day she was rescued. She was then brought into my care, where she initially showed signs of significant stress from her shelter experience. With patience, consistency, and a structured routine, Grace has truly come out of her shell.Grace is a very sensitive dog who thrives in a calm, predictable environment. She does not do well with other dogs, likely due to past trauma and her time in the shelter. She would do best in a home with no other pets, where she can feel safe and not have to share her space. She is an active, adventurous companion who loves hiking, swimming, and running alongside a bike. Grace is collar-trained for off-leash work and has a strong bond with her handler.Grace would do best with an experienced owner who understands structure, leadership, and can continue to provide her with the stability she needs to feel safe and confident.
