Story
Rudy is a joyful, playful, and deeply affectionate companion who forms strong bonds with his people and loves being close to them. He was adopted as a puppy from ARF in Walnut Creek and is now 5 years old. Rudy truly shines when he’s out on walks, exploring the world, or joyfully chasing a ball during a game of fetch in wide open fields. After playtime, he’s more than happy to settle in and cuddle up next to his favorite person. Rudy does have some dog reactivity while on leash, but this is manageable with consistent training, structure, and positive reinforcement. He would thrive best in a calm, adult-only home where he can receive plenty of attention, patience, and love. In the right environment, Rudy will be a loyal, loving, and devoted companion who brings warmth and happiness to everyday life

Story
Meet the Mooshy Mochi! We love this big headed boy! He is super trainable and such an affectionate fella. Check out the report card from his foster mama ... &#226&#128&#139Crate Training (A+): He is a total pro. He’s been crate trained since day one—no whining at all, and he sleeps in there like a baby. Zero anxiety. Walking (A-): He is very polite and sticks right by my side. I used the starmark collar a couple of times and he was great. He shows zero leash reactivity toward other dogs! He still gets a little spooked by loud noises or those big Christmas inflatables at night, but his confidence is growing daily. House Training (B-): Not quite 100% yet. We’ve had a few pee accidents, but he’s never marked and he really tries to make it outside. He’s very trainable, so I think he’ll get there soon. Other Dogs (A-): He and Gloria are doing great! They coexist peacefully and love napping in the sun together. He didn't even react to our neighbor’s barking Chihuahua through a fence! If he hears another dog start barking, he startles easily and will bark back. But I think that’s pretty normal for most dogs. &#226&#128&#139Cats: Unknown, but based on his mellow demeanor, I think he could be trained to coexist with kitties. People & Kids: He is great with strangers but gets very excitable and jumps up to say hi. Because of the jumping, he’d probably do best with experienced owners, if there are young toddlers in the home. Food & Toys: He’s a fast eater (might need a slow-feeder bowl!), but he’s learning to "sit and wait" for his food in his crate. Best of all, he’s not possessive—he lets me take toys or bones right out of his mouth. Mochi is going to be the perfect companion for a lucky family! California Pit bull Rescue is an official 501(c)(3) and requires an adoption application and $200 donation fee for all adoptions.January 21, 2026, 4:07 pm

Story
Meet Dany! She is looking for a new forever home. Dany is a 6 year old, 50lb, absolutely adorable gal. Dany is very energetic and has the best pittie wiggle butt! Dany loves to cuddle and absolutely loves play time! Unfortunately, she can no longer thrive in her current home, as they have kitties and Dany doesn't do well with small animals. She completed an 8-week behavior mod training program a couple years ago and her trainer can give more information if you're interested in learning more.  Dany is looking for a loving, safe and playful home with no small pets or children. She is spayed, up to date on her vaccines and is crate trained. Dany has had plenty of professional training and will do anything for treats, specifically cheese! She gets along with male dogs that are bigger than her and we are happy to do a meet & greet with any potential adopters' dogs.  She has gotten along with a couple of her trainers' male dogs.  Dany is currently located in San Diego. Contact Naomi to meet Dany at (915) 787-6559 or naomi.padilla.tx@gmail.comCalifornia Pit bull Rescue is an official 501(c)(3) and requires an adoption application and $200 donation fee for all adoptions.October 24, 2024, 1:31 pm
