Story
Riker is a high-energy, 60#, loving dog who thrives with companionship—whether it’s people or other dogs. He came into my life during a time of transition (towards the end of my marriage), and while I’m doing my best, our current apartment lifestyle just isn’t meeting his needs. He’s smart and eager to please, with a solid understanding of basic commands like *sit*, *down*, *wait*, and *quiet*. He absolutely loves sniffing games, and we’re even working on scent training—he’s learning to find cash! Riker can be a bit leash-reactive, but once he spends just a few minutes with another dog, he usually becomes fast friends. He’s shown interest in cats, though he can be a little too enthusiastic and might give chase, so supervision is key. My top priority is Riker’s happiness and well-being. I’ll always be his safety net—I'm willing to stay involved as a backup home and even help with medical costs if needed.

Story
Lainey came to us after spending several months at the Contra Costa shelter. She wasn’t getting noticed and the volunteers fell in love with her and found her a place at Lily’s. Lainey is a social girl and gets along with everyone she meets - both human and canine! She is looking for a home where she can get her daily exercise and spend as much time with her humans as possible. She loves socializing with other dogs so she would love a home with another dog or opportunities for playmates.

Story
Jerry Lee is an affectionate, energetic 11-month-old German Shepherd looking for a home that can match his playful personality. We adopted him from a shelter in Santa Rosa when he was 9 months old, and he’s grown into a smart, loyal pup who loves people and other dogs. He’s potty trained and very food-motivated, which makes him a great candidate for future training. Like many young shepherds, he still needs guidance with jumping and chewing, but with structure, exercise, and consistency, he will absolutely thrive. Jerry Lee’s favorite activities include going to the park, exploring, running with other dogs, and getting attention from anyone willing to give it. He would do best with someone who understands the needs of working breeds: plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and regular training. If you’re looking for a fun, loving young shepherd to grow and bond with, Jerry Lee could be the perfect fit for your family.
