URGENT!! MERCED COUNTY (LIVINGSTON, CA, south of Modesto) IN CENTRAL/NOR CALIFORNIA- DOG/CAT FRIENDLY CHOW/SHEP X BOY 'BRUNO'- OWNER HAD MEDICAL EMERGENCY, LOSING HOME, VERY SWEET BRUNO NEEDS A LOVING, FOREVER HOME ASAP.
Please help us find a loving, forever home after his owner is having to move in approximately 2 weeks (due to a medical emergency) and is unable to take him or care for him beyond this. The owner reached out to us as he does not want to have to take him to a kill shelter with nowhere to go.
Bruno was adopted as a puppy and is he has since lived indoors, and with cats, is potty trained, chipped, neutered, as well as current on vaccinations and heartworm treatment. Bruno weighs 68 lbs and is believed to be a chow and shepherd mix.
The owner told us,he got Bruno when he was approximately 3-5 months old (April 2021). He is described as 'a friendly boy and he's great at playing catch and tug of war. He's trained with basic commands and once comfortable w/ a routine walk, he is good without a leash in areas that are not so crowded with people and distractions.'
The owner also said, 'Bruno is friendly with the two cats he lives with. He is friendly when other dogs approach him on walks, and with a couple big dogs who got into the front yard once (one female and one male, separate times), as well as one small dog belonging to a family member. Kids have been in the house, and he is unsure of them, but has never been reactive. He liked the little girl but wasn't interested in the little boy who was 'high-energy' and throwing the toy at him. However, he was not reactive, just walked away. He was okay with the aunts and uncles and relatives and friends that came over. He is curious and shy with new people at first, but warms up once he knows you.'
He has no reported bites or medical issues other than an occasional hot spot which has been treated. We have many additional pictures and videos with the cats, enjoying belly rubs, playing, etc, we can share and will post on Facebook.
