Story
Baz was found dumped in the trash with 4 other siblings in 2023. Baz is 3 years old. I am looking for an experienced handler for baz. Ideally a home where he would be the only pet. He has lived peacefully with another dog his whole life until recently. It would be best if the new owner has training knowledge, and help him with confidence building. He needs a strong leader. Baz is goofy, playful, loyal, protective, and loving. He does not require a ton of exercise but benefits from genetic fulfillment to help with fearful reactivity. Baz is a wonderful companion and would do great with a retired individual or someone who is able to give him a ton of time, attention, and love.

Story
Rusty is a handsome boy with a big heart to match his size. Though he’s technically a senior, he has the energy and spirit of a playful pup! Rusty loves nothing more than chewing on his toys and going for long walks, exploring the world with enthusiasm. He’s a social guy who gets along well with other dogs and is fully potty trained. Rusty is also in great health, ready to bring joy and companionship to his next family. Food is definitely one of his greatest loves, so treats and tasty meals will earn you lots of tail wags! Because Rusty is a strong, big boy who doesn’t always know his own strength, he’d do best in a home without small children that can be knocked over or overwhelmed by his size. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who’s full of life and ready for adventure, Rusty is your guy!

Story
Sweet Elle was rescued just hours before she was to be killed for space at Downey Shelter.  Elle is a sweet girl with lots of energy and an eagerness to please and learn from her owner/handler.  Elle was emaciated when we rescued her and is currently at 54 pounds, but I still think she should gain a few more.  Elle is house trained and crate trained and knows sit well.  Elle is also good walking on a leash, but needs a little more work on pulling.  Elle gets along great with other dogs, but does need a day or two to acclimate to a new one.  She is good with little dogs, but tends to play rough, so a bigger young dog to play with and keep her company would be wonderful for her.  Elle is now spayed, up to date on all vaccinations (including rabies), and microchipped.  Elle does have a very small umbilical hernia that we will have fixed when and if she ever has to undergo anesthesia again (maybe for a dental in future, etc).  We just do not want to put her under again for something unnecessary.  Elle's adoption donation is $450.  If you have any further questions, please call Krissy at (949) 456-7032 or to fill out an application, visit www.greendogfoundation.org.  Thank you for looking to rescue!October 20, 2025, 6:34 pm

Story
Jocelyn was rescued from the Long Beach Shelter. She’s a total sweetheart, loves attention, and can be a total snuggle bug - but can also just relax on her own when you need her too . She’s crate trained and potty trained. Jocelyn has been great with all of my neices and nephews. Unfortunately my decision to rehome her are my long my work hours that have only increased with the holidays (60+ hrs). I’m looking to rehome her to a home that either has a yard for her or at least has an owner that is more available to give her the love , attention, and most importantly enrichment that she deserves.
