Pongo is a Shepherd Collie Mix who was pulled from Moreno Valley Animal Shelter and was there since the beginning of July. From Pongo's foster: " I had been visiting him at the shelter for almost 2 months and no interest.. I watched him get better from a virus and pull through and still no one. He was always so well behaved. Would sit when I asked. Was loyal on the first day I met him just chill and would do his business and come back to you and lay down below you. He's such a calm dog for being at such a loud shelter. Not reactive to people nor dogs. Walks well on the leash. Can you ask for more of a perfect dog??? He was scared of the stairs when he came home but conquered it like a champ on his first night! Pongo, you're such a great dog! You make me feel like I'm going to foster fail with you

Gilly was recently saved from the euthanasia list at a Southern California shelter due to overcrowding, and we are so grateful he’s now safe and thriving in foster care. At 58 pounds, Gilly is a bundle of good times — affectionate, goofy, sweet, and endlessly happy. He loves people, brings joyful energy wherever he goes, and has that lovable personality that makes everyone smile the moment they meet him. Gilly is currently being treated for Happy Tail (because he wags that hard!), but otherwise he is healthy, handsome, and ready for his forever home. His joyful spirit and loving nature truly shine, and he’s just waiting for someone to call his own. Russ is a 3-year-old sweetheart who was saved just moments before being euthanized from the “back kennels” of an overcrowded shelter — the place no dog should ever have to see. He was so loved by the volunteers who cared for him that they worked tirelessly to make sure his story didn’t end there. Because of them, Russ was given the chance at a new life. Despite a rough past that left him with scars from an embedded collar and old lacerations, Russ’s heart is nothing but gentle and loving. He adores people and has been wonderful with other dogs in his training environment. Like all dogs, he does best with slow, thoughtful introductions, but he has shown himself to be social, respectful, and friendly with canine companions. Russ is currently in training so we can continue learning more about him — and he has been an absolute star. He is: House trained Crate trained Working on basic obedience Calm, affectionate, and eager to please He has shown incredible resilience, trust, emotional growth, and a super love of cuddling ;) in such a short time. Now, he’s ready for the next chapter: a foster or forever home where he can finally feel safe, loved, and part of a family. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a soulful gaze, a gentle nature, who loves to cuddle with a powerful second-chance story, Russ may be your perfect match.
