Story
Meet MAX – A Resilient, Loving Pup Looking for His Perfect Home! Max’s journey started in a heartbreaking way—he and his sister, Nova, were abandoned in a park, left in a box. But despite his rough beginning, Max’s spirit shines brighter than ever! While his sister has found her forever home, this sweet boy is still waiting for his special family. Both Max and his sister has a congenital condition affecting their bone development, likely due to early malnutrition or genetics. But don’t let that fool you—this little guy is full of life! He loves to play, explore, and soak up affection. After a fun romp, he’s all about cozy power naps and cuddles. While he moves around well now, he might need extra support down the line. Max is searching for a family who will embrace him just as he is—with love, patience, and plenty of snuggles. Could that be you? To learn more about Max and start the adoption process, visit www.aarflove.org and submit an application today! "They are a dog first, even if they have a special need. Even with disabilities or problems, they can still live a great, quality life" ~ Carla Boyd

Story
Meet Koda About Me: Hi, I’m Koda… a 2-year-old pittie mix with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life. I’m one of the lucky ones who got a second chance, and I’m ready to make the most of it with a family of my own. I’m a super friendly, happy guy who loves being around people. I already know some of the basics like sit, down, and shake, and I’m eager to keep learning. I’m a smart boy who enjoys training, especially when treats are involved. I am working on my leash training and house manners. I never lived in a home, so these things are new to me. My foster says that I am doing great and to keep up the good work! I also love other dogs and enjoy having canine friends to play with. I’ve got a fun, playful energy and would do great in a home that can match that and give me outlets to burn it off. I’ll be honest… I’m a strong boy and I can get a little excited, which sometimes means I jump up to say hello. My foster family is already working with me on this, and I’m learning quickly. With a little consistency, I’m going to have great manners in no time. My Ideal Match: I’d love an active home that will include me in daily life, keep working on my training, and help me continue to grow into the best version of myself. A home that understands big, happy dogs like me would be perfect. I would do well with other dogs and would enjoy a playful companion, but I’d also be happy soaking up all the love as your one and only. Most of all, I’m looking for a family that will love me, guide me, and never give up on me. Fun Fact: I’ll happily show off my tricks… and I might even “talk” to you if snacks are involved. Story
Meet BETTY Betty, a soft-hearted pittie mix with the sweetest baby face and an even sweeter soul. She’s still in her eat-play-nap era, and she’s happy to repeat that routine all day long. Betty loves to be held, cuddled, and carried around like a little marshmallow. She’s gentle, quiet, and loves curling up on your chest after a play session. Because she and her siblings have only ever had each other, Betty would thrive in a home with another kind, friendly dog who can help her continue learning about the world. She’s still completing her medical and working on all the normal puppy basics. If you’re looking for a tender, affectionate companion who will melt into your arms, Betty might be your girl. If you would like to be considered for Betty, our adoption process and application is on our website at www.aarflove.org. Please note: We receive many wonderful applications and unfortunately cannot respond to everyone. If we believe you're a potential match, we will reach out directly.
