Poor Chyna was surrendered with some other canine companions when her owner lost housing. While she is guarded and shy initially with new people, she does walk well on a leash and is housebroken. Really, this old gal is just very confused as to what is going on, and we understand—which is why we’re hoping that someone with a heart for older dogs will give her a chance as a foster or furever. She deserves a quiet, stable and loving place to spend her golden years.

Meet Gus – A Loyal Companion with a Big Heart Gus is a 65-pound lap dog whose favorite place is curled up next to his person. He forms deep bonds with his humans and is affectionate, loyal, and eager to make new friends once introduced. Gus is a calm, well-mannered house companion. He rarely barks indoors and usually only alert barks outside if something catches his attention. He is highly motivated by food and affection, making him responsive and enjoyable to work with. Along with his cuddly side, Gus has a playful, goofy personality. He loves running the fence and playing chase through the gate with the other dogs before flopping dramatically onto the couch for snuggles. Because sharing space with other animals overwhelms him, Gus will do best as the only pet. At home he settles easily and enjoys being near his person. He rotates through his toys like a kid with favorite stuffed animals and is crate trained. All Gus needs is a person to love and a couch to share.
