Story
FOSTER NEEDED FOR THIS SWEET GIRL!!! FOSTER'S DAD IN MICHIGAN HAD A HEART ATTACK AND FOSTER HAD TO IMMEDIATELY LEAVE TO CARE FOR HIM. Sienna has quite a story to tell for such a young girl! This beautiful medium sized American Pit Bull Terrier mix was found in a field delivering puppies. A kind person took her to Jax Animal Care and Protective Services where she gave birth to a total of five puppies with only one who survived. She and her baby remained in the office of one of the staff members while they became stronger and healthier. The baby has now been adopted to a family so now it's time for Sienna to also find her forever home. As you can see from her photos, Sienna is totally happy and calm in her foster's home with two large dogs and a small one too. She loves playing with them, being outside running and wrestling, going for daily walks with the pack and loves to run, run, run!! She is a bit shy when she first meets people, obviously a hangover from her previous life, but in no time at all, she feels comfortable and happy to meet a new friend. She loves, loves, loves to wrestle with the larger dogs and will do so for hours so she needs to be in a home with another young and high energy dog too so they can both wear each other out and then fall asleep on the sofa. She is doing very well in learning house manners, is housetrained and is a total love bug. She is very happy chewing on appropriate chew toys and stuffed animals. She loves to snuggle and sleep in bed with her person in very relaxed positions as you can see from her pictures. because of her past sad life, she is easily startled and does not do well with too much noise, activity or chaos. Sienna is spayed, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, current on all vaccinations, wormed and microchipped. She is one loving little girl who deserves a wonderful home with loads of loving and sofa times too! Her ideal new home should be an older single person or couple, MUST have a large, fenced yard and another medium-large size young and very active dog who loves to run and wrestle, No Children and someone who can walk her daily. She is very smart and a quick learner. If you feel Sienna is the girl for you, please go to www.greatrescue.org to complete an adoption application or call 904-874-7689 or our Rescue hotline at 904-501-6899 with questions.

Story
I found Bug abandoned at a local park. Her original owners were found, and they surrendered her to us. So she was abandoned not once, but twice. She never let her bad history affect her beautiful spirit. I’ve met many dogs, but Bug is by far the best one. I’ve 3 dogs already, i cannot keep her. She has already had 2 litters, and she isn’t even 2. She will be 2 in August. She has the most beautiful character and personality. Her life truly revolves around the person she loves, she will not leave your side!! All she wants to do is cuddle and give love. Meet the friendliest pittie ever. Every dog she meets swoons over her. I even have a reactive dog, who hates females. They get along beautifully and have never scuffled. She’s gentle with my cats, my baby sister, and even my rats. Please, give Bug a chance. You would not regret it. She is the most perfect dog, and still so much life left !!

Approximately 3yr old lovable male bulldog mix. We adopted Jax from a shelter 2 yrs ago. Very lovable & friendly dog who doesn’t realize how big or strong he is. He’s been a great pet for us but the past couple weeks when our grandchild who lives w us started walking, the dog gets nervous/anxious and has a tendency to be a little aggressive when the baby gets near him or his food. Needs a calmer home w children older then 4 that will respect the dogs boundaries. Was in a home originally w a small dog and has been in my home w my Frenchie. Doesn’t like cats. Any questions please send messages. TY

Remi is protective yet extremely loving. She enjoys cuddles, long naps, and laying out in the sun. Although she can play well with children and other dogs, Remi thrives in environments where she can be the center of the attention. We are sad to have to give her up but we hope we can find a great place for her to live in return.

Story
Hi, my name is Ruca and I'm 4 years old as of January 1st 2025. I am in desperate need of a forever home. I love to go on walks, go swimming and to cuddle up in bed. I'm a very sweet girl but I sometimes get a little rough at playtime. I'm not aggressive just vocal and love to play. I'm looking for someone who has plenty of time for me and can help me grow. I know how to sit, stay, lay down and I wait for my food patiently. I have been around other dogs and love to play. I get very excited around new people and kids and have not learned how to not jump yet. I love bath time but I don't like my nails trimmed or thunder storms. I do very well with routine. I'm potty trained and can stay for semi-long periods alone but if you're home, I want to be close to you. If reading this makes you think we could be happy together, I would love to meet you. Please hurry before I am surrendered to a shelter. If you have questions please feel free to email my person at nanneyb87@gmail.com

Story
Frank is a good boy. Raised him since he was a puppy and weened off his momma. He loves to make other people happy, is very excitable and high energy around new people or animals. He's never bitten anyone, though he can get rough while you play with him. He sheds a lot, so you'll need to brush him a little bit and get rid of all that excess fur. He is also crate trained and unfortunately spends a lot of time in his crate due to me being at work. Would love for him to have a good home with a nice yard he can run around and play in. The more people the better, including kids.

Story
We have had Tyson for 8 years. He has always been so loving and just wants to more attention than we can give right now. He loves sunbathing, running outside, and walks to explore (ok on a leash). He enjoys being alone, but will occasionally play with our younger dog. Tyson has become more anxious since our family has grown and he deserves a home with no kids and lots of attention. Ideally, we would like to keep both dogs together. They've been together for 6 years. He would not take well to other unfamiliar dogs in a new home.

Story
I adopted this dog from JHS and she is a total sweetheart. She loves to play and cuddle at night in my bed. The only issue is my current dog has gotten aggressive with a couple of times when Potter wants to play and my other dog doesn't. Do I am nervous about leaving them alone together in case something happens. I feel like she would be a great pet, but I just don't want to take a chance of anything happening to either of them. I don't have kids but I had her out today and she met some and was a total sweetheart, the kids were in love with her. I would prefer to rehome her than having to take her back to JHS. Also I am guessing at the breed when I say mixed with boxer / german shepherd it just said mixed breed on her adoption papers, but I had to select something.
