Marla (b. 4/2018) is a beautiful German Shepard looking for a patient, consistent owner. She is looking for a home that is able to provide her with stability to help her overcome her fears and help get her on the right track! Marla would love to live in a new home as an only dog but with the proper intro, she could potentially be OK! She is reactive to dogs in general and would need multiple visits with her new adopter. She would, however, do best in a home with no children. Young children and other high strung dogs really stress her out. Marla also needs a 6 foot fence because she can clear a 4 foot fence with no problems. With lots of structure, positive reinforcement, and the help of a trainer, we are confident that Marla will blossom into a great companion. If you think Marla would be a great addition to your family, please fill out an application to meet this sweet girl! Adoptions for Marla are limited to the area within 50 miles of the Omaha/Council Bluffs area so the pet can continue to take advantage of free training from our certified positive reinforcement trainer. The suggested adoption donation for Marla is $250.  We are a 501c3 organization which means that your donation may be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Your donation goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our animals in rescue, as well as providing supportive services to animals in homes. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the dog’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the pet. Ryder (b. 4/30/2021) pittie mix who was rescued from a terrible domestic violence situation.  Ryder is super sweet ONCE YOU HAVE GAINED HIS TRUST, but still feels fearful in new situations and will bark at strangers. He does take a while to warm up to new people and will need need a few meet and greets before an adoption can be finialized.  He LOVES walks and playing with other dogs. He knows his manners well and is fully potty trained. He's still blossoming into his own confident self so check back for more updates!  Before applying to adopt Ryder, you need to be familiar with your local breed-specific legislation regarding Pit Bulls. Applicants must live within 50 miles of the Omaha/Council Bluffs area.  The suggested adoption donation for Ryder is $265. We are a 501c3 organization which means that your donation may be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. All donations go toward the high cost of veterinary care for our animals in rescue, providing supportive services to animals in homes, and funding for special programs like Muddy Paws Parvo Puppy Project. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver.  If this pet is not spayed or neutered at the time of adoption due to limited vetting availability, a voucher will be given to the adopter for a free spay/neuter procedure at Val Verde Animal Hospital. Spay/neuters completed elsewhere will be reimbursed $80/dog or $55/cat once proof of alteration has been received by Muddy Paws. Alterations are REQUIRED for all Muddy Paws adoptions. The adoption contract states alters must be done within ONE month of the adoption date or the adopter will be in breach of the contract. Adopters are required to provide proof of alteration to Muddy Paws Rescue immediately following the procedure. Thank you in advance for your compliance. Say hello to Quinn, a Pit bull Terrier mix born approximately on October 12, 2021. This pretty girl goes by Quinn now but her at one point was called Gurl and she loves to be by her people and is the perfect "velcro dog". Quinn loves to play with her foster siblings and her foster thinks she would thrive with another dog in the home. Older children would be a great match for Quinn's energy! Now don't let her fool ya, this girl has got hops so a 6-foot fence would be best for this girl to be able to run around in the backyard. So who is ready to adopt this sweet girl and be the best part of her new ticket in life?  The suggested adoption donation for Quinn/Gurl is $325. Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission.
