Story
Meet Gunner, a 5-month-old, 22-lb sweetheart with the gentlest heart. Gunner was dumped at a construction site in Puerto Rico, surrounded by loud, scary machines and chaos. Terrified, he hid inside a storage container just trying to stay safe. Thankfully, rescuers found him before something terrible happened. Because of his rough start, Gunner can be a little shy at first — but it is more of a docile tentativeness as he is still incredibly loving and affectionate. He absolutely loves to snuggle and melts into you when give him belly rubs. Underneath his timid side is a soft, sweet puppy who just wants comfort, kindness, and someone to trust. Gunner also has a tiny little club foot, but vets say it is completely fine and purely cosmetic — it doesn’t slow him down one bit and there is nothing medically wrong with him. If anything, it just makes him look like he’s salsa dancing when he walks, which honestly makes him even more adorable. Now Gunner is ready for a forever home where he can continue building confidence, soaking up love, and finally experience the safe, happy puppyhood he always deserved.

Story
Maybel — short for Maybelline — is a stunning 10-month-old girl with the most striking blue eyes that look like she’s wearing perfect eyeliner all the time. At around 50 pounds, she’s the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and sweet, affectionate companionship. She’s incredibly smart, eager to learn, and already doing wonderfully with potty training and leash training. Maybel is great with other dogs and has such a loving, gentle personality once she feels safe and comfortable. Like many rescue dogs, she can be a little hesitant around men at first, but with patience and kindness she quickly begins to open up and show her sweet, goofy side. Maybel is looking for a family that will continue helping her build confidence and show her that the world can be a safe, loving place. In return, she’ll give endless loyalty, cuddles, and those unforgettable blue-eyed stares.

She is a medium energy gal who loves a good zoomie session in the yard before settling in for the night, content to spend her days playing with a rope toy, napping, or wrestling with a foster sister. She loves being near her humans and would do best in a home where she can be close to her people throughout the day.Kallista absolutely loves other dogs of all sizes and is gentle even with the smallest playmates. She has not been around cats but her sweet, easygoing disposition suggests she would likely do just fine with a feline sibling. Her gentle, polite nature suggests she would do well with kids too.Kallista is a polite, well-mannered girl who takes treats gently, waits patiently by the door, and never begs at the table. She does well with house training on a consistent schedule. She walks well on leash once given a couple minutes to focus, though she does best in calmer, quieter environments and may pull toward her safe space if things get too noisy. This sweet, affectionate girl just wants to be near her people and will reward a loving home with endless gentle devotion.
