Santini has excellent manners and is house trained and crate trained. She would love to show off everything she has learned including sit, stay, down, and heel (for a treat of course)! Santini is happy to fit into her humans' routine and picks up quickly on new commands. She is very accommodating, walks well on a leash, and corrects/redirects easily. Santini loves to play, but is also happy to hang out with her people around the house.Santini would do best as the only dog in the house with an experienced dog owner who can maintain consistent boundaries and expectations to help her succeed and feel reassured. She is an athletic gal who loves to chase after balls and show off her signature ‘hopping prance’. She would love to have a fenced in yard or a local fenced in area so she can show off her moves! When she has finally expended all of her energy you can find her searching for the best sunbathing spot to take a snooze in. Santini is a sweet, gentle soul who wants nothing more than to be loved and make you laugh with her goofy antics. Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. Bounce is the girl for you! She has a fantastically low-key personality, is low-maintenance in terms of exercise (she's happy with a leisurely walk or spending time out in a yard rolling in the grass and enjoying the sun,) and mostly just wants to spend time with her humans, even if it means simply snoozing at their feet.Bounce is fully crate and house-trained, non-destructive, incredibly intelligent, and highly motivated by treats so you can bond with her over doggy snacks while teaching her some new tricks. Although Bounce may be a little shy around unfamiliar people or places, she looks to her humans for reassurance and enjoys weekend outings to Home Depot, where she can proudly display her exceptional leash-walking skills. Bounce thrives on the love she gets from her family and would be happiest as an only pet where she can receive ALL of the attention and affection. Whether you work from home or in an office, have a fenced yard, or live in a denser area, Bounce will adapt easily to her new home as long as you can provide Bounce an abundance of love and snuggles! Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. Story
MEET BRUNO! - Will you be his happily ever after?Bruno is a dapper, tuxedo clad prince who is looking for his Cinderella family. Let`s talk about his assets: he has great leash walking skills, he is quite the socialite with everyone he meets, and he is a quick study for picking up new skills. Not to mention, his personality and sense of humor are to die for! He makes us laugh with his silly sleeping positions and dramatic stretches. He sleeps through the night like royalty in his foster`s bed, and he loves to sleep in so don`t fear if you aren`t an early riser! OK, so what`s the catch? Well in order to snag this prince you will need to meet some basic criteria: no young kids or small/senior dogs or cats, and you must be committed to positive reinforcement training to work on his manners and potty training. Lost your shoe running down the stairs to the castle? Don`t worry, Bruno will grab that for you, but good luck getting it back! This boy is as mischievous as he is handsome, and he will give you a run for your money! But if you are up for just a little bit of elbow grease in the beginning, we promise it will pay off and he will be your true prince charming.Bruno is looking for a home with teens and/or adults only due to his exuberance. Bruno is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been neutered, microchipped, and seen by our vet team. For more information on Bruno or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements. Meet Zeus! A perpetual, fast-moving wiggle butt, watch his enthusiam adorably take over when he says `hello`! He`s a high energy guy and he`s got the muscles to prove it, but in addition to exercise, he will also need some help learning how to settle - he may not be the `Netflix and chill` type at home to begin with. Zeus has previously lived with a cat, but due to his size and strength introductions should be slow. Story
Nova is a beautiful 6 year old 64-lb pit mix that has more love to give than she can handle. My husband and I rescued her when she was 2 years old after she was surrendered pregnant and forced to give birth to her puppies in an unfamiliar shelter. The poor thing went through a lot and because of this she does have some anxiety and occasional fear aggression. We welcomed twin girls Nov. 2022 and although we were trying hard to make it work, it has been stressful on poor Nova and us to manage keeping them apart in our small home. Although we don’t think Nova would ever purposefully hurt them, she is very strong and does not know her own strength. She also is visibly overstimulated with two toddlers running around which is very understandable. We love her so much and although this breaks our hearts, she deserves a home that can give her more time and attention than we can right now. A relaxing one where she is the only pet, no kids or older ones preferably.

Story
Frankie is a sweetheart that loves everyone he meets. He has been through a lot the past few weeks. He was abandoned by has former family, who lived down the street from us, when they moved away suddenly. He stayed by their house for days waiting for them to come home before we realized he was abandoned and brought him to our home to care for him. Unfortunately one of our large dogs is aggressive towards Frankie and so he will still need to find a safe forever home with a different family. He is a ray of sunshine! He loves his walks, treats and dog friends and just wants to be part of the fun. He is a bundle of energy and doesn’t always realize how big he is though, so Frankie would do best in a home with a family that can continue to work with him to learn to channel his energy in fun and safe ways. If you can find a place in your home and heart for this sweet boy then you will have a loyal and loving companion for life!

She has a litter of puppies who have all been adopted and now it’s her turn to find her own pet free home as she isn’t a fan of other pets. Jolene is a super sweet snuggler who loves to be near you at all times. In fact, she will literally sleep right on top of you! She's fully potty-trained and will let you know when she needs to go out – her way of saying “I got to go, I got to go” is by stomping her paws. Story
Hi I’m Elle! I am sweet and smart itty bitty Pittie mix who can’t wait to meet you! No one can give me any good reason for why, but I ended up spending 5 years at a local animal control facility in MA before this rescue got me into a foster home. Good news, I am so grateful to live in a home now and know exactly what to do and how to act because I’ve been dreaming about this my whole life! I love to snuggle up with humans and take long naps. I also really love to play ball! I am on a foster home with two crazy 2 legged humans - I think you call them toddlers - they like to give me treats and even taught me how to play hide and seek with treats so that’s kinda fun! They like to snuggle too! As long as I get to have some fun each day, I’m a laid back gal in the home and a very easy keeper! Outside, I get a bit overstimulated by the world, especially small animals, dogs and even cars sometimes. I’m a work in progress there but a fenced yard would make it very easy for me to have fun outside without worrying too much! I know I am going to meet an amazing family soon, and it will probably be awesome, but I’ll keep being patient for now. Could it be you?

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper, slow introductionsGood with cats: NoGood with kids: Older children only (16+)Crate trained: YesHouse trained: YesIf you’re looking for the ultimate companion, Jaxtyn checks all of the boxes: he’s extremely smart, attentive, dedicated, and eager to make his humans happy. (Plus, he’s extra, extra handsome if we do so say so ourselves!)Jaxtyn absolutely loves affection and thrives on the connection he makes with his humans. While he does prefer a slower introduction when meeting new people, he quickly becomes comfortable and loves to show off his impressive manners. Jax gets along well with other dogs after proper introductions (he can still be wary of new friends he meets on the street), and while he would enjoy a dog sibling to nap and play with, he would be just as happy as an only dog where he can be the center of attention.Jaxtyn has been working diligently on his training with his foster dad and has an impressive skillset that includes focus and release commands, expert-level leash-walking skills, and all of his basic commands like ‘sit’, ‘down’, and ‘wait’. Jaxtyn is fully house and crate-trained and thrives with structure and routine. Jaxtyn is currently working to gain more confidence on walks around things like bikes, scooters, or busy sidewalks and he’s making stellar progress. Jaxtyn would do great in a home in the city as he’s shown he can be comfortable in an urban setting or would love a more low-key house in the suburbs with a yard to romp and roam in. Bonus - he’s great in the car so he’d be thrilled to be your adventure buddy! Jaxtyn is an amazing boy who’s ready to find - and unconditionally love - his family! April 24, 2024, 3:56 pm
