Amber experiences significant anxiety around unfamiliar people. When frightened, overwhelmed, or feeling threatened, that anxiety can escalate into aggressive behavior. She should therefore be placed in an **adult-only home** with someone who understands canine behavior and is prepared to manage her carefully around unfamiliar people. I believe Amber needs:- A stable, predictable routine- A securely fenced yard- Someone experienced with strong, energetic dogs- Someone who understands anxiety, reactivity, and responsible behavioral management with aggression- Plenty of exercise, play, attention, affection, and mental stimulation- Someone willing to build trust gradually rather than expecting immediate social comfort- Careful management around unfamiliar people and other animals.I am seeking a safe and appropriate placement for Amber because I believe she needs a home with more specialized structure and behavioral management than I can provide long term. My roommate is scared of her!

Meet John B! John B. is a happy, high-energy boy with a big heart and lots of love to give! He is very affectionate and cuddly, loves attention, and enjoys being petted and held. He would happily sleep in bed with his favorite person. John B. has lived with kids in the past and may do well with older, calmer children. He is very interested in other dogs and is currently working on his manners and learning how to greet them appropriately. John knows sit, lay down, and stay, and he is kennel trained. He can be a little selective about when he wants to come when called, so continuing to work on his recall would be beneficial. John is a very strong chewer and loves durable toys, but the good news is that he has not chewed on furniture. He is doing well with potty training when kept on a consistent schedule, so maintaining a routine will help him continue to succeed. John is used to going on multiple walks a day and would do well in an active but calm home where he can get plenty of exercise, structure, and attention. Overall, John B. is a loving, energetic, cuddly boy who would love to be part of a family and spend his days going for walks, playing with his favorite toys, and then curling up for plenty of cuddles. *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee. **Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Meet lovely Ruby! Ruby is a friendly, bouncy girl with a bubbly personality and a heart of gold! She may be a little nervous when meeting new people or experiencing unfamiliar things, but once she gets to know you, Ruby is very affectionate! Ruby does best with slow, patient, and proper introductions to new people, environments, and experiences. She has been around children and done well with them. She has lived with other dogs and had done well with some but not all. Slow and proper introductions are always recommended whenever introducing a new animal to the home. She has shown some displays of resource guarding with her food and toys towards other dogs and may need to be fed separate. Ruby has primarily been an outdoor dog, so she will need some time and patience while she adjusts to her new life. She needs a loving, trusting home where her humans understand and are willing to let her build confidence at her own pace.
