Story
Cletus is an easy going, adorable male Golden Retriever/Lab mix, born on October 12, 2024. He is a good family member, crate-trained and mostly house-trained with some support in his new home. Cletus is great with kids, dogs and cats. He might be a bit shy when he first meets new people, but warms up quickly and his goofy, loving personality shines through as you can see in the videos. He’s neutered, and very healthy and happy. The adoption fee is $50.  This covers the cost of spay/neuter, DHPP, Rabies, Flea, tick, heart worm check, worm treatment, and microchip. To adopt, you need to first fill out an application. Go to: https://rutherfordcountyhumanesociety.org/dog-adoption-application/ We are located in Western North Carolina.     Optional transport is weekly.  After your application is approved, we will contact you regarding cost and delivery if you so desire.November 12, 2025, 2:59 pm

Story
Lennon is half husky half German shepherd, she is on the smaller side for height and weighs around 60 lbs. She an extremely sweet and loving dog but has a ton of energy which is difficult for us now as we have a toddler, another baby on the way, and two other dogs (who we had before her). She is extremely friendly and has never been aggressive to anyone or any other dog. She is great with our toddler, actually the best out of our 3 dogs with her. She has gone to daycare since she was a puppy and gets along great with the dogs there. She is a dog that needs a lot of attention and exercise which unfortunately we do not have the time for. She would also be great for someone who lives in a more rural area with a lot of room for her to run around. FYI, I put this up a year ago but at the time we decided to keep her, now we have another baby coming and feel it will be too much. Please message me with any questions!

Story
We got diesel from an acquaintance around 4 months ago, we took him in because his prior owner could not take him to the new apartment they were moving and we did not want to see diesel end up in a shelter. We weren't sure if we would keep him or not, but we wanted to make sure that his health was in good standing and that we could have a say in where he goes to ensure he goes to a good home that will give him the life he deserves. He absolutely made himself at home and we would have loved to keep him, but unfortunately 2 of our other dogs dont get along with him and we realized diesel is best off in a home with smaller dogs/no dogs. He is a big teddy bear, loves to be around his family, always happy and excited to greet when people get home, loves to cuddle, and run around in the backyard. He is house trained/crate trained and all vaccines up to date.
