Story
COURTESY POST. MEET ROCCO! Due to some canine sibling conflict, sweet Rocco needs a new home. His owners are devastated about it, but feel for all concerned, it is the best choice. SO ABOUT ROCCO! ... ROCCO LOVES his humans, large and small. He LOVES his leashed walks (he's great on the leash). LOVES car rides. LOVES lounging on the couch next to his person. LOVES chasing balls and LOVES his toys. ROCCO has had excellent training and knows sit, down, stay and responds quickly to verbal cues. IDEAL HOME FOR THIS SWEET OLDER GUY? A home that loves and cares for him of course; a home committed to him for life! (we promised him that). A home that will give him the attention he deserves, the exercise he loves every day, a home that gives him the structure and schedule he craves. He'd make the ideal companion for a single guardian or retired couple or family! Other dogs? ROCCO would do best as solo pup in the home. He will make some lucky guardian or couple or family a GREAT companion! ROCCO is house and crate trained. ROCCO is about 8 yrs old. He is utd and neutered. Want to visit? Have questions? Please contact reboundhounds@gmail.com and we will respond right away. Thanks! ROCCO IS LOCATED IN RINDGE, NH

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ZYM was saved from a kill shelter in Georgia and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 5 April 2024. He along with 3 other pitties that he was saved were extremely emaciated with pressure sores that have been treated for and are all doing amazing having gained weight and healed. Zym is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped with 24PetWatch. He has an estimated date of birth of 4 April 2023 and in April 2024 weighed of 36 pounds. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind. Since Zym has been here (just over a month at the time of this update) he has done amazing, he has gained weight (too much and is now on a diet lol). He and Smellerbee are pretty bonded and snuggle up together in a big puppy pile, so we would love to adopt them together but will adopt individually if a family only wants one. He is playful, affectionate, goofy, happy, full of love, kisses and cuddles. From what he must have endured to now it is a complete change, he is so much fun. He deserves an extra special family who can give him the life he deserves and help him forget the abuse, neglect and starvation he has suffered. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue    YouTube channel    and    photo albums on our Facebook page    to see a LOT of pictures and videos. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks. Zym is located at the rescue in Sebec Maine and is available for a  reduced adoption  fee of $50. Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application. https://giveadogahome-rescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5838 HOUSE TRAINED - All of our dogs are located in the kennel building so we are not able to say if a dog is house-trained, however, they do have access and use the dog door to access their run, play area 24/7. FOOD - We feed a variety of high quality brands and flavors including, chicken, turkey, beef, lamb and fish generally alternated daily. CATS - We do not have cats in the kennels and are not able to say how our dogs are with cats. Story
This friendly pitty's name is Benito, which means "blessed." He is a sweetheart with a lot of love to give, so perhaps that's why his former owners gave him such a lovely name? Benito came to the shelter due to housing restrictions - his former owners lived in close proximity to neighbors and Benito was too vocal for them. When he first arrived at the shelter, Benito was a little overwhelmed, so he was a bit of a "low-rider" in the yard as he began to explore the layout. But within a couple days, he seemed to get over his feelings of nervousness and then he decided to become a lap dog. He's made friends with several shelter staff members, and he enjoys nothing more than climbing into their laps for cuddles and pets! We're not sure how Benito would do with other dogs, so if there were a resident dog in the home, we'd want to do a dog meeting at the shelter to ensure personalities seemed to work. No cats for this guy! Older respectful children might be okay. If you're interested in a cute, fun pitty like our snuggle-bug here, call the shelter at (603) 472-3647 and press 1 for adoptions to schedule an appointment to meet him!

Stella is a sweet lady who just wanted a break from motherhood! Surrendered with her granddaughter, she has shown that she has the sweetest and patient temperament. She has enjoyed the company of all of our staff and is looking forward to a home where she can lay back, relax and not have to babysit! Other dogs in the home are a possibility with a successful dog meeting here at the shelter. We have no information about Stella's past with cats. Respectful/older children are okay. If you are interested in meeting sweet Stella, please call the shelter at (603) 472-3647.

Zoe is a sweet girl who is looking for her next family to love. She was a bit nervous when she first came to the shelter, but has quickly settled in. Her previous owner says she is a big fan of walking and swimming and would love to live with active owners. She is also crate trained. She is a very laid-back lady, a bit of a house hippo one might say! We think she would be fabulous at going on adventures with her humans, and then come back home to snooze. If you would like to meet Zoe, give us a call at 603-472-3647 and press 1 for adoptions.

Story
This is Lady, she was my grandmothers dog. Shes about 2 years old. She a little dominant, she gets along well with most dogs there are a few she does not like. If a dog challenges her she will take it if you have a very submissive dog she is great. She is good with cats as long as they dont run she won;t chase. Very lovable loves to cuddle. we are working on leash training now just she just pulls a little bit not all the time. She is great in the bath and good for her nails, offer her a treat and she'll sit still for her nails. Shes a very good dog. She has her rabies shot. She is only 38 lb. She is great in the house and crate trained! She would be good in a fenced in yard! She is a very good puppy in the car! She is not currently fixed but I can get her fixed for an additional $250. If you would like to get her fixed the total cost would be 350.

Story
Looking to add a fun-loving, rambunctious young lady to your life? Jaycee is a sweet ~2 year old Pitbull mix lady looking to find the perfect forever home to start the next chapter of her life with. Jaycee came to us not in the best shape, but she's healthy now and ready to rock. She can be nervous meeting new human friends and is especially wary of unfamiliar men. Likely from not being treated well before finding her way to the shelter. But once she's built some trust with her people, she is a fun-loving, goofy, playful adventure seeking adolescent lady looking for patient people to learn and grow with. She's been working on her confidence building and her basic manners and skills. Once she has built a bond with her new humans, she'd benefit from some dedicated training time to catch up on her manners and broaden her life skills. She is VERY food motivated and eager to learn, she's been working on her leash skills as well as some basic tricks! When she isn't learning to master all the different food toys or enjoying an awesome chew bone, she enjoys playtimes in the yard and sunbathing once she's done her zoomies. Jaycee may not mind having a similar sized, confident but easy-going male canine friend to learn from and chill with. Being a mature lady, it'll take the right match of personalities and tolerance as well as multiple meets to see if everybody gets along. But she also wouldn't mind being your one and only to get all the attention. She really loves watching keenly to all the small critter activity, so would be best with no kitty or small animal friends.

Story
Looking to add some giant goofball adolescent energy to your life? Meet Scooby! The handsomest ~11month old block-headed boy. Scooby came to the shelter due to his previous humans having medical things come up making caring for a young giant boy difficult, so now he's looking to start the next chapter of his life with someone new. But boy is he a fun-loving, life of the party kind of teenage boy. Scooby would love having a like-minded, similar sized dog friend in his new home to romp and grow with. He'd even love having children to live with too! He would just prefer they be durable kids, as he kind of has that bull-in-a-China-shop mentality so might definitely accidently knock toddlers over amidst the zoomies. He would love to find a family able to dedicate some time to catching up on his general manners and life skills. He forgets he is a 90lb dude, and not everyone loves the tackle hug greeting.

These pups are in Manchester, New Hampshire too!
