Story
Meet Vuk, the Majestic Wolf in a German Shepherd SuitVuk—his name means `wolf` in Serbian, and he definitely has that wild, curious spirit! This handsome 9-month-old AKC-registered German Shepherd weighs in at a solid 77 pounds of pure potential, and he`s only getting bigger! At full-grown, we estimate he`ll hit around 120 pounds of sheer shepherd goodness. With his stoic demeanor and striking good looks, Vuk is already turning heads. But don’t let that serious face fool you—this guy is a playful, energetic pup who`s ready to explore everything in sight. Whether it’s chasing rabbits in the yard or sniffing out new adventures, Vuk is always on the go. We are seeking a home environment with a fenced in yard for Vuk.Though he’s still learning the ropes, Vuk has some impressive skills under his belt! He knows how to `sit,` `paw` (he’s got a secret handshake—pretty cool, huh?), and `lay down.` Oh, and he rings a bell when he needs to go potty—what a good boy! Still, he could use a little help refining his manners and learning how to walk nicely on a leash, so an adopter with previous German Shepherd experience would be a perfect match to help him shine.Vuk’s been living the good life with other dogs and gets along with pups of all sizes. He`s not had much exposure to cats yet, but let’s just say, those rabbits are in trouble if they come into his yard. He’d do best in a home with older kids who can keep up with his energy and curiosity. No crates for this big guy—he’s not a fan of being confined. He’d much rather be out and about, having fun with his humans. He’s available for foster-to-adopt, so you can take him home while he finishes up his vetting at the shelter vet (including vaccines and microchip).Ready to add this curious, cuddly, and courageous shepherd to your family? Email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and fill out an8 online dog adoption application to make Vuk a part of your pack. Vuk`s adoption fee is $300.Come meet Vuk, and see for yourself why this big boy’s ready to steal your heart.

Story
Looking for a loyal and loving companion who will thrive in a calm and structured environment? Look no further than Ozzy! This striking 1 year old German Shepherd mix boy is happiest when he's with his people, showering them with unwavering devotion and a goofy puppy smile. He's incredibly intelligent and eager to please, making him a joy to train with positive reinforcement methods. Other dogs can be a source of anxiety for him, so Ozzy would do well with an experienced dog owner to help him navigate the world at his own pace, building confidence in controlled and supportive environments. If you're ready to provide a patient and consistent home for this sensitive soul, Ozzy promises a lifetime of love and companionship. Ozzy spent 4 days overcoming his nervousness around other dogs with Elite K-911 Dog Training and they have graciously offered a discount to his foster family for additional training.
