Story
MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com Zero is a 40-pound pit mix with a huge heart and an even bigger love for his people. If you’re looking for a loyal shadow who wants to cuddle on the couch (preferably in a cozy sweater), Zero might just be your guy. Zero is dog-friendly and kid-friendly, and he’s been cat curious. He does bark at the cat, but it appears to be playful curiosity rather than aggression. With proper introductions and guidance, he may do well in a home with a confident cat. He is potty trained and crate trained, though the crate can still feel a little scary for him at times. His foster family helps him feel safe by giving him a Kong and even leaving clothing that smells like them for comfort. With patience and reassurance, he continues to improve. Zero already knows sit, stay, and leave it, and he’s very treat motivated — which makes training a breeze. He catches on quickly, takes correction well, and genuinely wants to please. He’s not a dog who gets into things he shouldn’t, which is a huge bonus! He absolutely loves Kongs and stuffy toys and will happily entertain himself. That said, his favorite activity is being close to his people. Zero thrives on affection and connection. Like many young dogs, he’s still working on a few things: He can get overly excited and loud in new places. He’s learning that furniture isn’t his personal throne. He may need continued confidence-building when experiencing new environments. Zero would do best with a family willing to continue guiding him with structure, patience, and lots of love. In return, you’ll get a devoted, cuddly companion who just wants to be part of everything you do. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training & grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. MBR Farm is offering ONE Free Private Training session for dogs adopted from us in the month of March. That is a $125 value. Story
MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com Kyro is a handsome Pitbull mix with a heart as big as his smile. This super sweet boy came to the rescue extremely emaciated, and because of that past, he can be a little protective over his food. With a consistent routine and respectful handling, he does just fine—and he always takes treats gently like a total gentleman. Kyro gets along great with other dogs and enjoys making canine friends. He’s crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, and loves settling in with a good bone after a walk. Fair warning: stuffed toys and blankets don’t stand a chance—Kyro considers them his personal shredding projects 😄. He can be a bit vocal and tends to jump up when he’s excited, but he’s actively working on keeping all four paws on the floor and is eager to learn. Because of his enthusiastic greetings, Kyro would likely do best in a home with older kids. Kyro hasn’t met cats yet, so his feelings there are still a mystery. What we do know is that he’s an affectionate, loving boy who’s ready to trade his rough start for a forever home full of love, structure, and chew toys. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a sweet soul and a playful spirit, Kyro might just be your guy. Story
MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com Scooter is a 3-year-old Beagle/Shepherd mix weighing 47 pounds who is looking for his forever family. This sweet boy came to the rescue very underweight, and thanks to lots of care and good meals, he’s slowly gaining weight and starting to come out of his shell. Scooter already knows how to sit and is eager to keep learning, especially if toys or treats are involved! He walks nicely on a leash and is working on his potty-training. He loves playing with toys, happily chewing on bones, and then winding down for some quality cuddle time. One of his favorite things is simply being part of the family—he wants to be included in whatever you’re doing, whether that’s playtime or a cozy night on the couch. Scooter gets along well with other dogs but has not met children yet. He is currently very curious about the cats in his foster home and is learning how to co-exist with them peacefully. Affectionate, loyal, and full of love, Scooter is a snuggler at heart who’s ready to find a forever home where he can continue to grow, feel safe, and be cherished. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will fill your home with love, Scooter might just be your perfect match.
