Ozzie is a 7-year-old, 60-pound Pit mix with the sweetest heart and the softest soul. This handsome boy is crate trained, potty trained, and gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and kids — truly the full package!
He’s currently working on his leash manners and already knows a few great commands like sit, down, and stay. While toys aren’t really his thing yet, he’s definitely intrigued by the sound of a good squeaker.
Ozzie is a love bug through and through, happiest when he’s close to his people — he’d love nothing more than to be your shadow (and he’s happy to share his love with a family of any size!).
The first part of Ozzie’s life wasn’t what he deserved, as shown by a long scar down his spine and the way he occasionally ducks when a hand moves too quickly. But despite it all, his gentle, trusting nature shines through. He’s truly a picture of forgiveness and love.
In his foster home, Ozzie has been an absolute dream guest — calm, affectionate, and endlessly sweet. He’s working on curbing his excitement when greeting people (sometimes he jumps or paws for attention), and he’s making amazing progress!
Ozzie would thrive in a patient home where he can continue learning and feel safe, loved, and cherished every day. A home with someone who appreciates a super soft, living “weighted blanket” would be just perfect.
If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training & grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters.
