Story

We rescued Dale from a kill shelter in Georgia with intentions to rehome. He is heartworm positive and we have already begun treatment. Treatment should last no longer than 3 months. Unfortunately, our dog at home does not like Dale and is causing tension in the home which is not an okay space for Dale to heal in. Dale is extremely lovable. He loves cuddling, being pet, scratched and hugged. He wiggles and wags his tail in excitement at everyone. He is scared of steps and loud noises. He does not bark AT ALL. He is extremely quiet and potty trained. I am looking for a home that can take Dale in that can help him through recovery and give him all the love that he deserves. I think a home with low activity and without other animals is probably best for Dale at this time. Happy to provide more information and answer any questions.

Story

Rufus is very sweet and loves to be outside. When we first rescued him from the acct philly he was estimated age 4-5 yrs and extremely energetic and did not trust us to touch him. He would nip at us if we reached out to touch him. We have had him for 5 years + and he has really come a long way. He loves ear scratches and belly rubs. He loves going for walks but if you take him running he will sit down after about five minutes. His favorite toys are soft but beware if your children leave stuffed animals lying around he will claim them. He has a loud bark but he is a big scaredy-cat! Rufus is crate trained. We found now that my husband is back at work Rufus spends all day alone and becomes anxious and pee/poops even in his crate. He does not like to be alone and will follow us around the house. He sleeps in our room and is a loud snorer. He loves sleeping in. Rufus is a good dog but he deserves a home where he gets lots of attention and walks which is why we want to re home him.

Venza is a sweet girl that I recently got from the shelter. She is so loving and treat motivated. She loves naps, but also has a lot of energy to play. Kash is an 11 month old, blue nose pitbull terrier. He was born May 23, 2023. Kash likes to sprint across the yard and roll around in the grass. He follows simple commands such as sit, come, in the house, cage, outside and downstairs. Kash is not trained to a leash, however, he remains inside the perimeter without escaping. Kash has encountered numerous dogs without engaging in aggressive behaviors. Kash is playful and looks forward to fun. Rosie is a typical goofy, human-loving boxer, and is so sweet and loving. She’s happiest when cuddled up with you on the couch or the bed, and she’s the best cuddler. She also loves fetch and adventures. She’s not without her issues (leash aggression, some anxiety, only gets along with 50-75% of other dogs she meets) which I’m happy to discuss in more detail, but she really is a great girl. She deserves a home where she can get lots of attention, cuddles, and activity, and sadly I’m no longer able to give that to her in the way I’d like.

Whiskey was born July 15, 2023. He came into rescue at 8 weeks old when the owner couldn’t find him a home. His mother is boxer and father Black and Tan hound. (Pictures of parents attached.) Gypsy was a stray. A man in Raymond, Mississippi found her and took her to the pound. They were going to euthanize her, and he took her home. She did not like his cats, so he surrendered her to us. She LOVES to run and play, and she needs a lot of exercise. She does good with most all dogs, but she is shy when she meets new people. Gypsy does not like cats! Once she warms up to people, she just wants to give kisses! Her ideal home would be a person or family that has a large yard for her to run and play in. She would be the best dog to do activities with or just cuddle with on the couch. She should be fine in a large, fenced yard. She can be hyper at times but settles down nicely inside with a chew toy.
