Story
Elsa is 8 years young and came from a neglect and abuse case in Colorado. She was confiscated from her "family," along with her son, Olaf. Elsa was so afraid when she arrived to our rescue and wouldn't stop shaking in the back of her crate. It took two weeks for her to gain confidence and trust us enough to start exploring the rescue. The rest is history... since Elsa created a bond with us, she has opened up SO much! She lives for her walks, is obsessed with snuggles and will quite literally follow you anywhere you go. She is wonderful on car rides and loves a good pup cup! Elsa's ideal family is someone who will continue to dress her up and treat her like the queen she is... lol. But really, she would thrive as an only pup who will spend the rest of her days spoiled, loved and cherished. She is going to make the most loyal and loving companion to a very lucky person/family.

Story
Olaf is a 6 year old, deaf Pittie who is the perfect mix of sweet and sensitive. He came from a home of abuse and neglect. Often, getting attacked by his dad, a large male Pittie, without intervention from his owners. He and Elsa were confiscated and saved from their awful home. Olaf is now looking for a family who can understand that he needs special care and training due to being deaf. Olaf, although he looks tough, is equally as sensitive and eager to trust. Olaf would love a family that has a yard and is home often, as he loves to be close to his humans! He is great on walks, has the biggest appetite, and loves being goofy with those that he trusts! Olaf loves car rides, is obsessed with foods (except carrots), and loves going for walks, as long as his human can advocate for him and take space from situations that Olaf doesn't hear coming like runners. Olaf is dog selective and has done great with dogs here at the rescue with slow and proper introductions so a home with another female pup will be considered on a case by case basis!

Story
Meet Yogurt! Yogurt is a 12-year-old Pit Bull/Staffy mix weighing about 58 pounds, and she’s the sweetest, most easygoing girl you could hope to meet. She absolutely loves people, affection, treats, and—perhaps most importantly—her naps! Yogurt is house trained, crate trained, and has wonderful manners in the home, although she might have trouble giving you your space while you have food near you :). She walks nicely on a leash, although she likes to stop and take her time rather than hurry along. She’s very treat motivated and would happily accept snacks from just about anyone. She rides well in the car and has a low energy level, making her an excellent companion for someone looking for a more relaxed dog. While Yogurt enjoys getting outside for daily walks and some yard time, she doesn’t need a ton of exercise. She may occasionally zoom around the yard with her dog friends for a few minutes, but she’s usually happiest heading back inside for another nap. She does well with other dogs and is great at taking their cues. She hasn’t lived with cats, but her foster hasn’t seen any obvious prey drive.Yogurt loves everyone she meets but would do best with older, respectful children. She tends to knock down little ones and may think every hand has a treat. She’d be happy in a loving home with a yard, but a home without one could work just as well as long as she gets her daily walks.Yogurt recently had a few lumps removed, and her vets did not have any concerns about them. She also had quite a few teeth removed during her dental, and she’s feeling so much better now! She does have a larger lump on her chest, but it was evaluated and tested by her vets and determined to be a fatty lipoma. It should not affect her health, and she’s otherwise doing great. If you’re looking for a mellow, affectionate companion who will happily spend her days soaking up love, enjoying a few treats, and snoozing by your side, Yogurt may be your perfect match. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $100.
