Story
Elsa is 8 years young and came from a neglect and abuse case in Colorado. She was confiscated from her "family," along with her son, Olaf. Elsa was so afraid when she arrived to our rescue and wouldn't stop shaking in the back of her crate. It took two weeks for her to gain confidence and trust us enough to start exploring the rescue. The rest is history... since Elsa created a bond with us, she has opened up SO much! She lives for her walks, is obsessed with snuggles and will quite literally follow you anywhere you go. She is wonderful on car rides and loves a good pup cup! Elsa's ideal family is someone who will continue to dress her up and treat her like the queen she is... lol. But really, she would thrive as an only pup who will spend the rest of her days spoiled, loved and cherished. She is going to make the most loyal and loving companion to a very lucky person/family.

Story
Olaf is a 6 year old, deaf Pittie who is the perfect mix of sweet and sensitive. He came from a home of abuse and neglect. Often, getting attacked by his dad, a large male Pittie, without intervention from his owners. He and Elsa were confiscated and saved from their awful home. Olaf is now looking for a family who can understand that he needs special care and training due to being deaf. Olaf, although he looks tough, is equally as sensitive and eager to trust. Olaf would love a family that has a yard and is home often, as he loves to be close to his humans! He is great on walks, has the biggest appetite, and loves being goofy with those that he trusts! Olaf loves car rides, is obsessed with foods (except carrots), and loves going for walks, as long as his human can advocate for him and take space from situations that Olaf doesn't hear coming like runners. Olaf is dog selective and has done great with dogs here at the rescue with slow and proper introductions so a home with another female pup will be considered on a case by case basis!

Story
Meet Dee Dee!! Dee Dee is a 1-2 year-old, 42 lb Pittie mix with the sweetest personality and an impressive talent for turning into a total play monster around her dog friends! Inside the house, Dee Dee is an absolute angel: quiet, gentle, cuddly, and well behaved. She loves nothing more than snuggling up with her people, carrying her toys around, and carefully “babying” them. When she gets excited—which happens often—she does the cutest little tippy-tap hops with her paws.Dee Dee warms up to new people fairly quickly, though it may take a few weeks for her full goofy personality to come out. Once she feels comfortable, she is playful, affectionate, and wonderfully silly. She has excellent house manners and is comfortable in her crate. She may whine briefly when first crated but settles down and is mostly quiet.Outside, Dee Dee is a high-energy social butterfly. She loves hiking, playing, and especially romping with other dogs. She is a true play machine and can sometimes come on a little strong because she is so eager to make friends, but she responds well when other dogs correct her and does her best to adjust her play style. One or two good walks or play sessions each day help keep her happy, mellow, and well behaved at home.Dee Dee is great on leash overall, though passing cars frighten her and she may try to move away from them. Her adopter should be prepared to help her build confidence and keep her secure around traffic. She is wonderful in the car, although she is a bit clumsy and insists on standing for the whole ride. Dee Dee is also very food-motivated, making positive-reinforcement training a fun way to continue building her basic manners.Dee Dee would thrive in a home that offers a balance of activity and relaxation—someone who enjoys walks, hikes, and playtime but also appreciates a cuddly, quiet companion afterward. She would be happiest with a playful, dog-friendly canine companion, though she could likely be okay as an only dog with plenty of social opportunities. Her history with cats and children is unknown, so thoughtful introductions and supervision would be important. If you’re looking for a sweet snuggle bug with a goofy, playful side, Dee Dee may be your perfect match!Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200.
