Hi, I'm Zayn! It has been a tough adjustment to shelter life after I was surrendered through no fault of my own. Everything was new and scary, and I wasn't sure who I could trust. But over time, I've started to come out of my shell. Thanks to the patient people here, I'm gaining confidence every day! I'm still cautious with new people (typical shepherd move!), but once I know you're safe, I'll be your loyal shadow - affectionate, playful, and full of love to give. I have an especially difficult time warming up to strange men. I think with time, patience, and understanding, I will be able to show my true self once comfortable! Like most German Shepherds, I'm protective of my space, incredibly smart, and always aware of what's going on around me. I'd really thrive with someone who has shepherd experience - someone who understands my breed and can help me feel secure and confident in my new home. I have had a hard time introducing myself to other dogs since being in the shelter, so right now I think I'd do best as your one and only pet where we can focus on helping me be the best dog I can be! I'd also do best in a home with older, teenaged children as well. I've been through a lot, but I haven't given up on finding my person. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will adore you once he knows you, I just might be your guy! Come meet me! Hi! I’m Marley, and I’m a happy, goofy, and energetic boy who’s always ready to play! I came here from Tennessee, and I bring a whole lot of enthusiasm wherever I go. I absolutely love people and I’m very affectionate! I don’t mind being handled at all, though I can get pretty wiggly when I’m excited. I’m still working on my manners — sometimes I get jumpy and pull on leash, and I may grab the leash when I’m feeling extra amped up — but I’m smart, attentive, and I love treats, so training sounds like a blast to me! Toys are one of my favorite things, especially fluffy stuffies! I get excited during playtime, but I’m overall very gentle! I’d do best in a home with another playful dog and sturdy kids who can keep up with my energy. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate dog who’s ready to learn and be your adventure buddy, I think we’d be a great match! Primary Color: Tri Color Weight: 51.4 Age: 1yrs 0mths 0wks
