Story
Meet Cooper ❤️ 3-year-old Husky/Shepherd Mix Cooper is the kind of dog who steals your heart the moment you meet him. His striking blue eye, goofy smile, and gentle spirit are unforgettable—but it’s his sweet personality that truly shines. Cooper absolutely loves playing fetch, especially if there’s a tennis ball involved! He’s smart, affectionate, eager to please, and happiest when he’s spending time with his people. Sadly, Cooper didn’t always have the life he deserved. His previous owner admitted Cooper spent much of his life confined to a backyard before surrendering him to a crowded Southern California shelter because they “didn’t have time for him anymore.” With shelters overflowing after the Fourth of July, Cooper quickly found himself on the euthanasia list—not because of anything he had done, but simply because there wasn’t enough space. Thankfully, Concerned Citizens Animal Rescue stepped in just in time and gave him the second chance he deserved. Today Cooper is thriving in foster care and showing everyone what an incredible companion he truly is. He loves adventures, walks, playtime, and being included in family life. He’s the loyal best friend who’s always ready for the next game of fetch or a relaxing evening by your side. Cooper is: * 🐾 Approximately 3 years old * 🐾 Husky / Shepherd mix * 🐾 Neutered * 🐾 Vaccinated * 🐾 Microchipped * 🐾 Loves tennis balls and playing fetch * 🐾 Sweet, loyal, and affectionate We would love to find Cooper a family here in Southern California, but transport is available for the right home anywhere in the western United States. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who has so much love left to give, Cooper has been waiting for you. Story
My grandson received her and had a deployment with two days notice so she moved in with me. She's a very sweet girl and I loved her immensely but am unable to give her what she needs. For a husky she is mellow. She should be walked daily and my health prevents me from doing this. She has anxiety being left home alone. My ideal home would be a family that usually has somebody home because they work from home or are retired. A large back yard would be great. She should not be confined to apartment living. Her temperament is very sweet! She listens and behaves very well. I listed she has special needs; the special needs is having someone at home. She definitely should not be left home alone for hours at a time unless you have the large back yard. I having been putting this off for as long as I can because I will miss her so bad. I'm doing this for her, not me.
