Story
Meadow spent months wandering the public parks of the Los Angeles Valley, surviving on her own and avoiding human contact. Locals spotted her often—many tried to help, offering food and kindness, but Meadow kept her distance. It wasn’t until she came into our care that we discovered she’d been living with an old injury, likely the reason she was so hesitant to trust. After countless attempts, Canine Rescue Club partnered with a dedicated local trapper and our incredible friend Soyoung from Dog Coalition to safely bring Meadow in. Since then, Soyoung has worked patiently and lovingly to help Meadow begin her healing journey, physically, emotionally, and socially. DOG COALITION LA is a trusted partner in rescue dog rehabilitation and rehoming. Today, Meadow is slowly learning that the world can be safe. She’s shy, gentle, and much smaller than she appears in photos. Though still cautious, there’s a softness in her eyes that says she’s ready to find love—she just needs someone she can finally trust. Meadow thrives around other dogs and finds great comfort in the presence of a pack. Her ideal home would include a canine companion (or a few) to help guide her continued transformation. With time, patience, and a calm environment, Meadow will blossom into the loyal, grateful soul we know she is. What You Should Know About Meadow: Observant, loves dogs more than anything, and clearly wants to love people too, will just take someone with a welcome, calm energy to help bring that out of her. Quiet achiever: She rarely makes a peep, and communicates with body language.

Story
Fiona is a gentle, shy girl who’s learning—at her own pace—that the world can be a safe and kind place. She’s sensitive, observant, and deeply thoughtful, and she thrives in calm environments with predictable routines. In foster care, Fiona has been making steady progress with patience, positive reinforcement, and lots of reassurance. She does well with dogs, is cat-friendly, and feels most comfortable around calm, respectful people who understand that trust is something earned—not rushed. Fiona is looking for a foster or adopter who believes in quiet encouragement, celebrating small wins, and letting a dog bloom in her own time. In the right home, she has the potential to become a deeply loyal companion for someone who values gentleness and connection. Helping a dog like Fiona find safety is incredibly rewarding—and fostering truly changes lives. 💛

Story
McCartney is a 14-week-old Labrador Shepsky (Shepherd-Husky mix) with a joyful spirit, sharp mind, and lots of puppy charm. She’s playful, affectionate, and the kind of pup who keeps you laughing—then curls up for cuddles when playtime’s over. She’s athletic and adventurous, loves learning, and is already building a great training foundation. McCartney is food-motivated, doing well with potty training, and thrives when she has both mental and physical enrichment. Expected to be medium-to-large when fully grown, McCartney would do best with an active family or individual excited to continue her training, socialization, and fun puppy experiences. In return, she’ll give you loyalty, love, and a lifelong best friend. McCartney will be adopted with a spay addendum—her vet recommends spaying no earlier than 10 months or before her first heat cycle.

Story
Hello my fellow peers, I am looking to re-home my 8yr old neutered male Siberian husky, Kenny. I took him in when a friend's aunt found him in the streets of LA. I am seeking a foster family or a permanent home for Kenny. Ideally, the family would have the time and resources to provide him with the care and attention he needs. Alternatively, I am open to the possibility of young teens learning the responsibilities associated with pet ownership. Kenny is currently eight years old and exhibits a laid-back demeanor at home. However, he transforms into a playful and energetic pup when taken for walks or runs. While he possesses basic training skills, he has not received any further training or refreshers. He is also crate-trained and can behave appropriately indoors. I will provide Kenny with approximately five to six months' worth of flea and tick medication and food that he may have leftover. I am eager to find a suitable home for Kenny and would appreciate your help. Thank you!

Story
Max is very lovable, to the point of jealousy. He is about 3 1/2; I adopted him from Woods Animal shelter in SanLuisObispo , I was a new home owner to 1/2 an acher small house in Atascadero. My spouse and I had a bad falling out, I left the home & we are pending a difficult divorce , and I brought Max with me two months later to Ventura County. I rented a room from someone who loved Max, then I got an apartment. Max needs a yard-he has broken out of his crate, he’s destroyed my screen door & lunges towards cats and squirrels. He has dragged me and over powers me when he’s been in the house all day. I love him, but he needs training and I don’t have money for that. I have a dog walker for when I work an 8 hour shift. Anyone who gets him will Love him.
