Rain was adopted from the San Francisco SPCA at eight weeks old and is about to turn five. She was feisty from the start and still has a bold and independent, yet sweet – baby like ability to melt your heart. She loves the forest and the beach, and will spontaneously irrupt into the most ridiculous zoomies you've ever seen. She is very expressive-you never have to guess what she's thinking. She's silly, yet observant. She reads the room and has a very obvious way of flirting when she meets a boy dog she likes. Because she is so alert and loving, she's very anxious when left at home alone. She wants to be with her person. Her ideal future home is with someone who works from home, can take her with them, or has the resources for doggy daycare. A fenced yard is an added bonus – she likes to be able to go out and sniff around, check on things. She has a very protective energy, she is sensitive and ethereal.

Hi, I’m Yippee. Only one year and 4 months old, and before being rescued from Baldwin Park Animal Care Center, I never had a real loving family and was found as a stray. Yippee is a 63 pound male Husky/Shepherd mix (Shepsky) currently with his foster in San Diego, California. He is a one of a kind sweet boy who loves playing with other dogs and brings a fun, happy energy wherever he goes. During his time at the shelter, Yippee quickly became the favorite among volunteers because of his affectionate personality, playful spirit, and the way he always sought attention and connection from people. Even in a stressful environment, he remained loving, social, and eager to interact with everyone he met. Like many young dogs, Yippee is still learning basic manners and will benefit from continued training, structure, and consistency. He is smart, eager to learn, and very treat-motivated, which makes him highly trainable and excited to engage with his people. Yippee deserves a forever home where he can continue growing, feel safe and loved, and finally have a place he can truly call his own.

He's long since healed up and he's looking for a forever home with someone who ideally has "shepherd and/or working dog" experience. FRANCO is a young, athletic dog who responds well to a confident leader. He is very loving, attentive, and loyal. He likes long walks, jogs, and he LOVES playing in water. Meet MEI MEI or "little sister" in Chinese. She's a 3 year Shepherd who we found wandering near our mobile vet clinic. A volunteer took her home to try to find her owner but was unsuccessful. She is now at our kennel where she getting lots of play time with other dogs. MEI MEI is a little shy meeting new people but quickly warms up and has a very gentle demeanor. She does well in a crate and is learning to walk on leash. MEI MEI weighs abou 60lbs and is fully grown. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations.
