Story
Von is a 8 years old male Shepsky (German Shepherd Husky) that weighs approximately 160 lbs. He is not up to date on shots and is not neutered and is potty trained. He has not been microchipped. He gets along with children and other Pets. There are no special needs or concerns that are outside the behavior of a lovely dog. He likes to get on beds or sofa to watch TV with their family. He is full of energy and enjoy walks or runs. I welcomed him from his previous owner, trying to give him a second chance to live a wonderful life. Unfortunately, these times came to an end and it became difficult for me to maintain him after relocation and issues with owner of property. I am trying to find him a good home before mid February before opting for euthanization / euthanasia. He is a very smart and playful dog who I think do not deserve to undergo being euthanized. Please be a blessing to him.

Story
Coal came to us as a stray (well, sort of). He was found on someone's property, and they wanted to keep him. We walked them through the legal process of a stray hold, and once the hold was up, they adopted him. Not long after his adoption, they surrendered him. They ony had him a few days so it is still difficult to rule in or out anything. We did our usual assessments. The only thing we noticed that wasn't what we label a green behavior was his intorduction to other dogs. He wants to be dominant and is very pushy about it. The dog he met with was also dominant, but was willing to give it up to keep the peace with Coal. He can be rude when meeting another dog but he is very respectful when the other dog gives a warning. We are requiring a meet-and-greet if there are other dogs in the home. This animal is already spayed or neutered and their adoption fee is free. All dogs receive at least 1 distemper/parvo and Bordetella vaccine. If possible a heartworm test will be done and if negative the dog will be started on heartworm prevention. All animals receive a flea and parasite prevention/treatment and will be microchipped. All animals can go home the same day as adoption. We will need your photo ID and you will sign some documents. Adopters will also receive a copy of the animal's medical history to date. We do not do an application process. All adoptions are first come, first serve. We do not offer holds. We do not require in most cases that adopters bring all their families members and dogs for a meet and greet. But we do highly encourage it. We are happy to introduce the new dog to your dog(s) at the shelter. No appointment necessary. We do offer home trials of dogs over 6 months of age for about a week. You will not need to pay the adoption fee (spay neuter deposit) ahead of time, but if you decide to adopt you will need to return to the shelter to complete the paperwork and pay the adoption deposit. If you do not wish to complete the adoption, you can bring the dog back at any time during normal business hours during your home trial period. We do not allow after hours drop off.

Story
Luther (previously Lambo) is back after his adopter could not house him anymore. He is a 9 month old Husky lab mix. He is a stubborn dog. He would follow his nose to the end of the world. This gets him in quite a bit of trouble, such as digging into the trash. He is going to need some work on a leash. He is very calm and quite despite how excited he gets on a leash. He doesn't mind cats and is submissive to larger more dominant dogs. He loves to play with dogs his size. This animal is sponsored so their adoption fee is free. He is not fixed yet.
