Meet Cub!This 50lb, 2-year-old, German Shepherd mix came to the shelter as a stray, and he`s still adjusting to all the sights and sounds of kennel life. The busy environment and loud noises can make him a little nervous, and he seems unsure around the other dogs here. Because of that, Cub appreciates people who are willing to take things slow and let him build confidence at his own pace.Once he`s out in the play yard, a different side of Cub shines through! He`s incredibly friendly and enjoys spending time with his people. Toss a toy, and he`ll happily chase after it—even if he`s not too interested in bringing it back or playing with it for long. His favorite part is really just being with you.One of Cub`s sweetest traits is how talkative he is. Chat with him, and he`ll `talk` right back, making conversations with him both entertaining and endearing.Cub is looking for a patient family who will help him feel safe and loved while he settles into a home. At this young age, they are still learning important puppy skills, including socialization, confidence-building, and all the canine manners that help them become well-adjusted adult dogs.Because puppies learn so much from one another, we would love to see them fostered in pairs whenever possible. If adopting a pair isn`t the right fit, a home with another friendly, well-socialized dog would be ideal to help teach them appropriate dog behaviors and provide valuable companionship.Like all young puppies, they are full of curiosity, playfulness, and plenty of puppy energy. They will thrive in patient, understanding homes that are prepared to guide them through their early learning stages with positive reinforcement, structure, and lots of love.We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only. Meet Aurora! ??Aurora is a 3-year-old, 31-pound Husky with a curious personality and a love for adventure! This sweet girl enjoys exploring her surroundings and would love a home where she has plenty of room to roam and investigate all the interesting sights and smells around her. Aurora is happiest when she gets the opportunity to be active and follow her curiosity, and one of her favorite things to do is play in the water!Aurora came to us as a stray alongside another dog, so while she has had some experience being around another dog, we are still unsure how she truly does with other dogs. We are also unsure of her history with children. Any introductions should be done thoughtfully and at her own pace. With her curious, adventurous nature, Aurora would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a fun-loving dog to explore life with.
