If something in the house has been moved or seems out of place, there’s a good chance Lucinda will let you know! She likes order and pays close attention to her surroundings, giving her a charmingly unique personality. While she may not be the first dog to greet visitors, don’t let that fool you. New people and new places make Lucinda nervous, and she’ll usually choose to hide until she feels safe. She’s not interested in being the center of attention, but once she trusts you, she’s an incredibly sweet and loyal companion. Lucinda loves to play, especially with other dogs, and she’s just as happy entertaining herself with toys. She has wonderful house manners and can free roam in her foster home when left alone. Lucinda’s ideal home will be calm, patient, and willing to let her settle in at her own pace. With consistency, understanding, and plenty of love, she’ll blossom into a devoted companion who will always keep a watchful eye on her home and the people she loves. Behind the puppy chaos lies a devoted companion who just wants your love. She does well with other dogs and has been around cats without issue. She has only been around older kids, so we are unsure how she would be with younger children. She still has a few accidents, which is expected coming in as a stray, but she is almost potty trained. She does take a moment to warm up and can get nervous in small/enclosed spaces, but she does fine on car rides and enjoys being a lap dog.
