Micah – Ready for Her Second Chance Hi, I’m Micah! Not long ago, I was sitting in a DC shelter with only two days left before I was scheduled to be euthanized. Thankfully, Fancy Cats & Dogs Rescue Team stepped in and gave me the second chance I desperately needed. Now I’m settling into my foster home and learning what it feels like to be safe and loved. â¤ï¸ I’m a young, energetic girl with plenty of puppy spirit! I love to run, play, explore, and chew on my toys. I can still get a little mouthy when I’m excited, but I mean absolutely no harm. I’m just learning my puppy manners. New people can make me nervous at first, and when I’m unsure, I may become a little defensive. Please give me some time and patience to realize you’re my friend. Once I feel comfortable, you’ll get to see more of the fun girl underneath. I do great with other dogs after a proper introduction and a little time to get comfortable. I’m also curious about cats and haven’t shown aggression toward them. I’m already a champ in my crate, and my foster family has taught me to sit, although sometimes I like to pretend I’ve never heard that word before. I’m doing really well with house training too. I’m not 100% there yet, but accidents inside are rare. A fenced yard would be wonderful for me because I absolutely love running around and burning off all that young-dog energy. I’ve already come so far, but I’m still learning. My perfect family will understand that I need patience, consistency, plenty of toys to chew, and continued training as I grow. I came within two days of never getting this chance. Now all I need is someone who will make my second chance last forever.
