Story
Oliver is a loving and sweet boy who needs someone to provide the attention he deserves. Oliver does come with his problems like every dog. He has separation anxiety, gets protective over his family, and sometimes will keep you up at night if he gets lonely. He loves to go for long walks, play fetch, cuddle on the couch, and go for runs. Oliver needs someone who works from home, active, and likes to go for long car rides where he can stick his head out and smell the fresh air. We want him to go to someone who is going to take really good care of him and give him the love he deserves. Oliver would be better off being an only dog. He is also a lover of toilets so beware haha. We would love to get to know about you and your life style, as well as, why you are looking to adopt Oliver!

Story
How this pet arrived: This pet was transferred in from another animal welfare organization. Why this pet is the one for you:Kona has been on quite the adventure and now just wants a calm home and people who will love and care for him. He is easy to leash, especially if there are treats involved. He is house trained. He can be high energy as evidenced by short spurts of the zoomies so he will want access to outdoor space for those zoomies. The zoomies don't last long before he comes over solicit pets and more treats. He likes to chase balls and is learning to return them. He will need a dog savvy family who will continue the positive reinforcement training that we have been using with him.. Kona will appreciate consistent boundaries and lots of "good dog" comments when he has done something you want. Kona wants to please but you may need to show him what that means. With time, training, understanding and love, Kona will put his fire rescue adventure behind him and settle into being someone's nice family dog. Might that be your family? If so, come to our shelter and ask to meet Kona - the one from the Pasadena fires. At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home! Primary Color: Brindle Weight: 50.3 Age: 3yrs 0mths 4wks

Story
Meet Hiro! He is a 15-week-old purebred Shiba Inu with a calm, sweet personality. He absolutely loves being petted and held, but like a cat, he also enjoys his own space—striking the perfect balance between affectionate and independent. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected increase in my work schedule, I can no longer give Hiro the time and attention he deserves. This has been a difficult decision, as he has been an absolute joy to have, but I want to ensure he finds a loving, forever home where he will continue to thrive. Hiro is well-adjusted to kennel training both during the day and at night. He is trained to go on both grass and pee pads, though as a young puppy, he still has occasional accidents. He is also incredibly quiet—you might not even notice he’s there! If you are looking for a wonderful companion, Hiro would make an amazing addition to your home. My loss is truly your gain.

Story
*This is a courtesy listing.* Meet Wyatt! Wyatt is a 13-year-old Shibu Inu mix who needs a loving new home because his senior owner recently moved into an assisted living facility. They were devoted companions for over 10 years, spending every moment together. Wyatt is a sweet, mellow gentleman and a friend to all of the humans and dogs in his neighborhood. He loves kids that live across the street who come to feed and love on him. Wyatt gets the zoomies when they visit! He also loves the mobile groomer who comes to his home. Wyatt greets everyone with a wagging tail and is a "talker" in that sweet Shiba Inu way. Especially if he hasn't seen someone for a long time, he likes to carry on vocalizing his excitement! Like many seniors, Wyatt is nearly deaf, and has very limited vision in his right eye. He weighs 30 lbs., is in good overall health, and is house-trained (uses a doggie door.) Wyatt enjoys puttering around his yard and going for walks. If you are looking for a gentle, loving, well-behaved pal, please consider adopting Wyatt. To learn more, please contact Leann by text or call at 858-243-7670. *Frosted Faces Foundation has not assessed this dog medically or behaviorally.*

Story
Hugo is a 5 year old Shiba Inu. Originally purchased from a breeder in Italy while I was in the Navy. Affectionate and loving, does not always get along with other dogs but can be okay with smaller breeds who are less dominant. Active and energetic, curious and loves walks and cuddling with toys. Would probably do best in a household as a only dog or in a home with older children although was raised around my own 2 younger children and never displayed any aggression or behavior issues.
