Story
Meet Marionette! DOB: 06/30/2023Weight: 26lbs.Disposition: Happy, resilient, and affectionate dog who has embraced life as a tripod with confidence. She is friendly, adaptable, and gentle, enjoying being around people and forming close bonds. Despite everything she has been through, she maintains a positive outlook and approaches life with a calm, easygoing nature.History: Marionette arrived at Soi Dog Foundation’s shelter on April 24, 2025, following a road traffic accident. Upon arrival, she was found to have a severe open fracture with necrotic tissue in her left forelimb, which required amputation to relieve pain and improve her quality of life.In July 2025, Marionette developed a corneal ulcer in her left eye, which healed fully with treatment. She also tested positive for canine distemper virus (CDV) but made a full recovery after intensive care and quarantine, with no lasting clinical signs. Additionally, she was treated for a yeast skin infection, which resolved with medication and medicated baths. At present day she is healthy, with normal blood work, and moves comfortably on her three legs without pain. She was brought to TBL in February 2026 to find her forever home.Best Home :Marionette would do best in a loving home with a couple, individual or family with kids that understands the needs of a tripod dog. Maintaining a healthy weight will be important to support her mobility, and adopters should be attentive to any signs of discomfort as she ages. A home that can provide regular veterinary care, good hygiene, and a comfortable environment will help her continue to thrive. She would do well with adopters who can offer patience, care, and plenty of love—whether in a calm home or a moderately active one that matches her abilities. Most importantly, Marionette is looking for a family who will cherish her for the incredible, resilient dog she is. Amazing Qualities: Brave, strong, inspiring Marionette’s resilience truly sets her apart. She has overcome significant challenges and continues to thrive as a confident tripod who doesn’t let her past slow her down. Her loving and gentle personality makes her a wonderful companion, and her ability to bounce back from hardship shows just how special she is. Marionette is the kind of dog who will form a deep bond with her family and bring joy to those around her.If you're interested in meeting this dog, please visit our website to fill out an adoption application: www.thebarkinglot.net/adoptOur dogs are located in San Diego County, CA. Story
Koda will be your best friend in the world! He loves unconditionally. At 4 years old, Koda still has a lot of energy. He still enjoys his daily naps though. He has some silly ways of sleeping too, as many shiba inu parents can attest to. When comfortable with you, he will sit next to you on the couch and give kisses when asked. Koda enjoys Tuffy toys as he can destroy most other toys in seconds. He loves to play tug and fetch as well. Koda would need to be the only pet in the home, as he resource guards his food against other dogs. He is great with older children, ages 10 and up. He does great with a yard, having access through a doggy door. He could be trained for apartment living or living with no yard and taking walks to go eliminate. Koda is crate trained. He uses the crate for night time and when he is home alone. Koda also knows "sit", "wait" and "give kisses". He is very treat motivated. Koda is microchipped and will be up to date on vaccinations when adopted.

Story
Koda arrived at San Bernardino City Animal Control as a stray, and sadly, no one came looking for her. On July 10th, we welcomed this beautiful girl as a Frosted Face. She is estimated to be 8 years old, weighs 42 pounds, and has the sweetest, most gentle personality. Koda is currently enjoying a Frosted Field Trip in a loving foster home while we continue getting to know her, and she's proving to be an absolute gem! Her foster mom reports that Koda rides beautifully in the car, gets along wonderfully with the other dogs in the home, and absolutely loves being brushed. As you can see in the videos, she has done a great job learning her surroundings, confidently mapping the yard and navigating with ease. In fact, Koda has been such a wonderful houseguest that her Frosted Field Trip has turned into a foster her foster home! She truly has won everyone's heart. Her only medical need is daily eye drops to manage her glaucoma. Beyond that, she's potty trained, friendly with dogs and people of all ages, and a joy to have around. At 8 years young, Koda is active and mobile, enjoys leisurely walks, relaxing around the house, and savoring every interesting scent the backyard has to offer. If you've ever been hesitant about adopting a visually impaired dog, let Koda change your perspective. She relies on her remarkable sense of smell, hearing, and memory to navigate the world with confidence. She doesn't let her vision define her, and neither should you. Stay tuned for more updates from Koda's foster home as this wonderful girl continues to thrive! To meet Koda, please email: placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org

I work 16 hour shifts 5 to 6 days a week. I want him to have a good loving home. He deserves it. Great with people and kids. He loves to go on walks and play. He is very hyper but also very loving.
