Story
Dusty is a sweet 19 mo old male full-bred pedigreed Shiba Inu. Very playful and curious, he’s even braved a wild snake on one of his walks! Although Dusty is very sweet, he isn’t a good fit for the family. Nothing bad or concerning, I just don’t have the time or knowledge to train him properly which is seeping into my family’s quality of life. Dusty enjoys his daily walks and being pampered. He is leash/harness trained as well as crate trained. Dusty is looking for a loving home that can pamper him. *Adoption fee negotiable

Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee. This dog will be at a meet and greet event on Saturday, March 23rd unless he/she is adopted prior to the event with a set up home. The event is from 12 pm to 3 pm at Palo Alto's Pet Food Express. Those interested in meeting the dog can come out to our meet and greet event. We no longer do application approval onsite. Anyone adopting has been previously approved and set up to meet prior to the event. Adoption Fee: $700   Mulan is a 1 year old Shiba x Parsons Terrier mix who traveled all the way from China to find her forever home! Our amazing rescue partner in China saves dogs from the streets and after they travel across the ocean, they come to the US to find forever families of their very own! Mulan can’t wait to get down to business and find her happy ever after with you!   Below is a note from Mulan’s foster.  “Mulan has blossomed in the time she has been with us. When she first arrived, the world was very new to her and she watched from a distance. Now, she loves affection and sees us as the center of her universe. She loves to climb into our laps and get scratched for hours at a time. She is perfectly content to hang out on her own and play with toys at the same time however. She is a great mix of cuddler and independent. Mulan adores her soft toys and her soft dog beds. All the best luxuries for this princess! Mulan wakes up with me at 7 AM. She is crate trained so she sleeps happily through the night in her crate. We go out for a potty break and then she has breakfast at 8 AM. She gets several potty breaks during the day and has dinner at 5 PM. During the day she hangs out, plays with toys, naps, and trains to defeat the Huns! Bedtime is at 10 PM.  Mulan is great with other dogs once she gets a chance to warm up to them. She is making progress on her leash walking skills but would do well with a confident owner who can continue building her confidence. Mulan does well on a potty schedule.  Mulan is the kind of dog where you will feel her love bloom as she gets to know you. Despite her rocky start in life, she is a happy and loving dog who will be a fabulous addition to any home!”   Mulan is only an option for a home who has owned a dog in the past 5 years, with emphasis on homes with shy dog experience. Kids in the home should be over the age of 8.March 25, 2024, 11:42 pm
