In March 2025, upon hearing news that a wildfire was spreading rapidly, WEACT set out in the early morning darkness toward Sancheong, Gyeongnam.With a trunk full of bottled water, dog food, and rescue equipment, we departed without hesitation. From that day on, the flames raged fiercely, spreading to Uiseong, Cheongsong, Yeongyang, Andong, and Yeongdeok.As the fire roared, animals that could run escaped in all directions. But those still tied with leashes—unable to be freed in time—were trapped, unable to take a single step in the searing flames.Even the ones who did escape couldn’t endure the unbearable heat and collapsed with severe burns. The #GyeongbukWildfireRescueDogs barely clung to life just steps from death, but they were left with terrible pain and trauma.It was there, in the midst of that devastation, Aru was rescued.

Personality & Socialization Donggree has the classic Shiba mix personality — a little cautious at first, independent, yet deeply loyal once she bonds with you. She gets along well with most dogs, both larger and smaller, but can react if another dog challenges her. For this reason, careful introductions with new dogs are recommended.
