When she was about 5 to 6 months old, several reports came in. The reports said that the dog, which was tied up, was often hit because it defecated around. Since then, I too started to take interest and care for her, becoming close with her. But seeing she instantly retreat home whenever her owner appeared, even while it was playing with me, I became convinced that it had been abused. Also, the dog's owner had a friend who ran a dog farm, and he said he would sell and hand over the dog to that place once it became an adult.

Story
Location : Korea Adoption inquiries: wds3628@nate.com ▶ (relationship with dogs) : It takes some time to get closer at the first time but, she tends to get along well unless some dog tries to playing too much. She likes to hang out with their friends. ▶ (relationship with cats) : Not the severe hunting but, she is not friendly with cats. It is not recommended with the house where the cats are living. ▶ (relationship with people) : From the time of the rescue, she was on the alert but, not aggressive at all. She doesn’t come to you first, but she even doesn’t refuse to be touched. When she gets confident or strangers visit your house then she could bark at the first time. But she only barks without any other reactions like warning or other additional actions. ▶ (house trained) : outdoor defecation ▶ (walks on leash) : She can slowly do it well. At the first time, she feared cars but, now she is good at it. In the narrow roads, when the car or bike, motorcycle pass through, then she waits until the transportation goes. If you forcibly pull her, you must be careful because she would step back. ▶ (special notes) : She is domesticated while she spent more than one year with temporary protection family, but she is still afraid of people’s touch. She lives quietly and peacefully at home nowadays. There is no problem staying along with young children. She likes to listen to bird’s chirping and appreciating the scene of landscape while sitting on the deck. It is preferred the house with wide yard. I hope Meso meet the family who will take care and accept her at it is.

Story
In early February 2024, Latte was tied to the yard of the house with a significant injury from being bitten by a stray dog in her neck. Latte's owner didn't even take her to the vet and left her unattended.. We saw her and persuaded the owner. So we could rescue Latte and take her to the vet. Fortunately, the wound has subsided a lot, and we disinfected the part and it is managed by applying medicine steadily. Latte was in a big accident, but she is still bubbly and energetic!! ❤️ Foster's Instagram: @ad_latte_3

Meet Dart❤️ He came to Korean city shelter with his brother Dot. Dart used to be very scared of people; he used to scream whenever someone tried to touch him. Despite the urgency of rescuing them, Dot passed away because of parvovirus, but Dart fortunately recovered and is currently healthy. * Interaction with people: He's a social butterfly, wagging his tail and welcoming even strangers! He loves greeting family members and enjoys being around them 🥰 * Interaction with dogs: He's still unfamiliar with other dogs as he hasn't met many. * Separation anxiety: He may cry when left alone but generally does well by himself! He prefers sleeping alone. * Potty training: He has a 90% success rate on a pee pad! Sometimes he may have accidents on the edges, but he's good at both indoor and outdoor potty. * Hygiene: He enjoys bathing! He tolerates drying with the gentlest breeze. Trimming his fur is fine as long as treats are involved 😊 * He walks well without pulling on the leash 🙂 * He doesn't get car sick. * He has mastered "sit, shake, nose" commands! * He's lively but also has a timid side. Sometimes, he gets scared and barks when he sees his reflection in the mirror 😂 * He responds well to sounds. **Health Issues** Dart overcame parvovirus! His left front ankle is slightly bent due to malnutrition. He currently eats well, so improving his nutritional status could help much better. 💙 Foster's Instagram: @moong2020_mung

Stays calm and quiet indoor! * No carsick, usually stares out the window or sleeps * She is still very young so might get frightened by big objects, loud noises * If there are a lot of toys for nose work and objects or leave out shoes which she can smell the family, she plays around with the toy and goes up to the bed and sleeps there * Smart girl who mastered 'Sit' and 'Wait' * Favorites : Looking out the window, Energetically Playing around, Nose Work with toys that make leafy-noise, Tugging 💙 Foster's Instagram: @lets_happydoggy

Story
Meet Berry! She is a 1-year-old jindo-mix girl. She is 15 kg/33.0 lbs with a beautiful black coat. 🐶Behaviours at our shelter: Berry unfortunately doesn’t have any foster experiences. We only have some basic information she showed at our shelter, so please know that she may act differently at home! Berry is a sweet girl and usually behaves perfectly during her walk. She has no interest in other dogs or people and has no experience encountering young kids indoors. She sometimes (not frequently) barks at strangers but is overall relatively calm. She is neither trained in housebreaking nor potty training but usually pees indoors in our shelter. You do need to train her for your own preferences! For grooming, she doesn’t show any aggressive behaviours except when nail trimming. She stayed calm while bathing and brushing her coat but did try to bite a bit when we tried to trim her nails. She also stays super quiet in her kennel in the car, so she’s overall insensitive and loves people! 🏥Allergy/health issues: She didn’t show allergic reactions to dog food yet. We will also provide you with a detailed list of food/treats she currently takes, so no worries about allergies. She is very healthy and has no health issues, but her coat sheds a lot, so an allergy alert for the adopter.

Story
Name: 마음 (Maeum) Age: Estimated 3 years old Gender: Male Weight: 13 lbs Breed: Mixed breed Neutered: Neutered (recovered from heartworm) Vaccination: Completed 4th round Relationship with Adults: Maeum is a bit fearful of all adults, but he particularly loves female humans. He has experienced trauma from male humans, so he needs more time to build trust with them. He's been living in a foster home for 8 months, and he's still afraid of men, but with patience, he will likely adjust well. Relationship with Children: Maeum is scared of children as they have thrown stones at him in the past. However, he doesn't reject their touch and can get along with children in the same household. Relationship with Other Dogs: He is not very interested in other dogs and can be fearful of both large and small dogs. Sometimes he may show interest in bigger dogs if they have a similar body language, but caution is advised as he's still learning social skills. Relationship with Cats: Maeum is also scared of cats but doesn't pay much attention to them. He is a considerate and gentle dog, so he may get along well with cats once he's familiar with them. House Training: Initially, Maeum may do some marking until he fully adjusts, but currently, he has no bathroom accidents. He tends to lift his leg and urinate, so using longer pee pads against the wall is a good idea. Energy Level: He is extremely gentle and timid, not prone to accidents or mischief. He is quite fearful of loud noises and toys that make noise. Separation Anxiety/Barking: Maeum has some separation anxiety because he loves human interaction. He may show signs of it in the first few minutes but can wait quietly when left alone. He rarely barks, except when he's happy to see people. Affection and Petting: He loves being petted and cuddled. Walking: Maeum enjoys walks and walks calmly. He may be uncomfortable in unfamiliar places or around loud noises, especially when children are playing with balls nearby. Escape Possibility: Maeum doesn't try to leave the side of those he trusts (typically females). There's very little chance of him running away, but caution is advised when outside. Rescue Story: Maeum spent a long time as a stray dog, living in a large open space with other dogs. He endured harsh weather conditions, facing extreme cold in winter and scorching sun in summer. He had no shelter and had to deal with mosquito swarms every evening. Despite this, he greeted people who came to feed him, but some cruel individuals cut his leash and chased him away. A few days later, he was found at a shelter, rescued, and brought to safety. He's an incredibly sweet dog despite the hardships he's faced. Please note that Maeum's past experiences have left him with some fears and anxieties, so it's essential to provide him with a patient and loving environment to help him heal and adjust. Please apply at www.welcomepawsrescue.org. This pet is currently in Korea but can fly to Lax, JFK, DFW, Chicago, SFO, SeaTac, DC, Boston, ATL, Vancouver and Toronto upon the adoption.
