Story
Meet Bubbles! Bubbles is a 10-year-old Shiba Inu weighing 32 pounds. She is a sweet girl who can be a bit nervous at first, but with time, patience, and understanding, she begins to open up and show her gentle personality. Once she feels comfortable, Bubbles enjoys calm interactions and can form a trusting bond with the right people who allow her to move at her own pace. She gets along well with other dogs and may benefit from their presence as she settles into a new environment, though slow and thoughtful introductions are always important. Bubbles is looking for a quiet, patient home where she can feel safe and supported as she builds confidence. She will require a securely fenced yard to help ensure her safety while she adjusts and explores her surroundings. A required in-person meet and greet is necessary to ensure a proper fit for both the canines and the family. ------ Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog’s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!

Story
Lola has been a beloved part of our family for 8 years after we rescued her as a puppy. She is an incredibly sweet, loyal companion who loves being close to her people and will happily follow you from room to room. Lola is mellow, affectionate, and easy to live with—she enjoys pets, snacks, and relaxing on the porch with you for morning coffee. She is fully potty trained, kennel trained, knows basic commands (sit, stay, shake), and responds well to her name. She will bark to let you know when she needs to go out and is used to a dog door during the day. Lola is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations, with no known health issues. She has never shown any aggression toward humans. After a recent altercation with a smaller dog, we believe she would do best in a home without small animals or young children, and ideally with larger dogs or as the only pet.

Mandy has a gentle presence and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a calm and loving dog. Story
I got Nymeria from a friend who's dogs had an accidental litter. From the day I brought her home, she has been so much fun. She lovessss to run (we used to take her to a local outdoor roller rink and let her chase a tennis ball around), cuddle and be outside. We have two under two now, and while she does well with kids, ours are just too little to be gentle enough with a small dog. She would do well in a home with older kids though who can be gentle! She loves some good pets! She does have a double coat, so brushing is a must! She will be 6 this July (7/7) and I just really want to find her a loving home where she can run around and be loved by someone who can give her the space/time/less stressful environment she deserves for the rest of her life. She gets along great with her brother, Wilkerson (Wilkie) and ideally we could find a home to take them both. If not, she does do well with smaller dogs once she gets to know them but doesn't care for bigger dogs!
